Whenever someone asks me why I'm not wearing green on St. Patrick's day, I answer by either saying "I'm not Irish and this is a stupid holiday you drunk fuck" or "Funny you should ask...my dad's legs were blown off by an IRA car bomb in Belfast in 1985, so, you know..."
That about sums up my feelings for this stupid, stupid holiday. I am proud to be the St. Patrick's version of Ebeneezer Scrooge. It is one of the 3 worst nights to be in a bar in America (the list is Halloween, New Year's Eve, and St. Patrick's Day).
