And THAT is what's fucking wrong with this world. Heroic? That is possibly the LEAST heroic thing I have even seen.
Dang girl. Chill. It was an expression. Jeez.
I got what you were saying. It was a splurge and for a special event. I love how people point fingers and flip out on an internet forum when they have no clue what goes on behind the other side of the screen. So, I wouldn't worry about it.

Nothing wrong with people who have the means to spend as much on ANYTHING as they want. I truly believe that. That's what keeps the machine rolling. Spending equals a good economy which equals jobs which equals families provided for. Why should people that have "wealth" be any worthier if they donate it rather than spend it? Buy buy buy...and live your life to the fullest.
The 2 most expensive pairs I've purchased - $500ish and $600ish
and
Given that I wear that second pair almost every day, it's been worth every penny!

Dropped $160 for a pair of Nike AirMax while in Seattle to watch the band play in 09. Was definetely some well spent money, as my lovely wife pointed out... We were going to be on our feet for quite a while and my feet had been beat up from backpacking the month prior. Bought another pair in Denver just because they were purple! (school colors)
I just bought another pair of Asolo boots for more hiking. This will be the second pair I have bought in about 6 months. They retail for $250-$300, but I only buy from http://www.sierratradingpost.com and these people are the worlds best in customer satisfaction! Honestly, they are superb to deal with and you can get some serious deals.

Feel the sky blanket you with gems and rhinestones...

I'd love to own a pair of Louboutin shoes...but I'm clumsy as hell (their flats are fugly).
I'm with cuBEE...when I win the lottery, I'll but a pair.
Most 'designer' shoes make kid's sizes too...I can wear a 4-4½ in kid's shoes...
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

I had some like these, but had a sun instead of a heart.. I miss those shoes!

What a fun thread, I love reading about the shoe purchases going on around here!
Omg these are FUN
Although I will say I've been lusting after a pair of these for years but I can't bring myself to do it.
