Apparently Gaustad is going to be traded from BUFF
And so you see, I have come to doubt

Bahh, there will be minor deals that filter through I'm sure, but you never know.

I'd say the Kassian/Hodgson trade would be the big surprise of the day.

I like both Sabres trades a lot.

Gaustad (UFA) and a 4th for a 1st.... (they may sign Gaustad July 1 anyways)

Love Hodgson. Wanted him on the Sabres since his OHL days. I like Kassian a lot, but I feel like he has a pretty low ceiling compared to Hodgson.

Buff made out well with both trades. I like Gaustad, but to get a 1st for him is pretty impressive.

Hodgson will be a great player for them. I was shocked to see Buff not make any further trades from their current roster. Mgmt cannot be happy with their positioning after high expectations before the season.

Really sad to see Hodgson gone but it's the best shot he has to develop into the star I know he is.

The Canucks board has been down pretty much since the trade happened.

Zach played his last year and half of junior hockey 5 minutes from me...remember last year when the bruins seemed to intimidate the Sedins...I really believe that will not happen now...Zach plays the game with an attitude and has a nasty streak in him...he may not put up the points...may take the odd stupid penalty...but he brings toughness to your team...I think in time Canuck fans will really come to appreciate Zach...after hearing this trade I thought that the Canucks have to be favored to get to the finals from the west.

The problem with Kassian has been since he got to the pros and playing against guys his size and bigger, he seems to not play as nasty as in Juniors. That was the knock on him in Rochester and I havent seen it in Buffalo. I does play good in the corners and protects the puck well.
