Did you sell/trade the signed photograph?

    I'm curious because it's a fake signature.

Out of curiosity, why do you say it's fake?

No offense intended, but it is most certainly a fake. Can I ask how you acquired it? The tell-tale signs are there, the most noticeable being the incorrect "V". But don't take my word for it - 10C will tell you the same if you contact them for verification.

Pacer, EV's signature has changed over the past 20+ years...are you sure you aren't just comparing it to what you may know as his current style? Just curious as I have no clue if its indeed real or not

I'd also be curious about how this piece was obtained?

    Thanks,

I have to agree with pacer .... I didn't want to post anything related to the signature, however since there is now a discussion on it, I thought I'd chime in... I was originally interested in the signed item, but after I sow the image I had to back down.
The V looks off and also the "E" following the "V" ... Although there are authentic signatures with a loop on the bottom of the "V", this one just doesn't flow correctly especially that little hook on top of the V...There are two other small features on this that don't seem to flow correctly either. The provenance is key to this...because Ed was only signing like that during a certain period.... I rather not give out to much information because it helps those who forge sigs create better timelines..... This piece, in my opinion, is not legit... But I'm no expert so don't take my word for it. I just personally wouldn't invest in it...

No disrespect to the OP intended....

100 Pacer and Paul are two well informed individuals who are very active on this board, I'd consult with one of those guys if you have questions related to signatures...

best of luck with your sale.
  • Thanks for everyones forensic expertise.
I think it's funny because I'm not even selling the photo. I decided to keep it
seeing that it was worth a considerable amount more than the $100 I was asking for it.
    I'm selling posters and vinyl.
Rest assured, the autograph is authentic.

No one is trying to rain on anyones parade, but can you confirm why you so vehemently insist it is authentic....a little info would go a long way. Youve heard why it doesnt seem so, now would be a good time to spill ....
