I'd rather sleep underneath a blackjack table somewhere than stay at circus circus.

The pyramid one is the Luxor. i set up camp there for a week last year and it's pretty nice actually. I would say it's on par with the MGM. Bad thing with the Luxor is the distance from the strip/monorail. It literally is a 30 minute walk to get to the Excalibur...get to New York New York...get to the MGM...walk through the entire property to the backside and then catch the monorail. I know it doesn't sound far on paper but it's probably a 1.5 mile walk through a crowd of people. Pain in the ass. Give me my MGM.

I'm never picky for hotels, but circus circus was awful. So many kids and a bunch of trash at that place. Its obvious why it is one of the cheapest places on the strip.

Yea dump..they might not have clean beds..If you can find anything else close to the price you want to pay it would be worth the upgrade...If not you will prolly be ok..bring a set of sheets..ahaha

I wouldn't stay there if they paid me!

I've stayed pretty much everywhere on the strip and I think the best value is Bill's Gambling Hall (formerly Barbary Coast). It's smack in the middle of the strip - next to Bally's and across from Bellagio. It's small so it's easy to stumble into your room and the monorail's right at Bally's. Prices are really good. Rooms are nice, showers have good water pressure (this is immensely important!). Can't beat it!

They could pay me to stay there. A couple of hundred a night I'd do it. Other than that you are correct...it's a shithole. That being said...

I didn't have the heart to say it....but was thinking the same thing.

CC was pretty cutting edge when they built it in the 60's. I think they may have done a remodel in the 70's
