I think this is gonna ruin him. Not from a legality or financial standpoint. Maybe not from a league or Patriots discipline standpoint either. But every social media post he makes, there will be comments that he’s a rapist. Every opposing stadium, the fans will scream that he’s a rapist. Think of how often it’s mentioned in reference to Roethlisberger. And he was at least kinda likable prior to his allegations. But he’s been a loathed pariah ever since. Brown’s already the biggest prick in the league by a mile. And now this? Business won’t be boomin’ much longer.

And at least Roethlisberger has had the good sense to avoid social media and other outlets that will only cause him headaches since his allegations. Brown’s addicted to the attention he gets on social media. And if he’s so thin-skinned that a fan praising Juju on Twitter can set him off, wait till he’s call a rapist by hundreds of Twitter users daily.

And after reading the complaint, the notion of three separate incidents makes more sense. Initially my reaction was “how can she keep going back?” But it’s alleged that it escalated from unwelcome kissing, to unwelcome jizzing on her, to (months later after a bullshit apology from AB) forcible rape.

And how about the alleged messages AB sent her after jizzing on her but before apologizing and rekindling the working relationship....

Hmm....maybe that Pats can get out of his contract. Not that I think they will. Also, judging by the language of the contract, it seems like he’d have to do something wrong while on the Pats.

Who uses the exclamation point more haphazardly? Antonio Brown or Donald Trump?

"materially undermines the public's respect for the Club" could be an out, though the alleged incidents happened whilst he was a Steeler. And of course the public outside of 5.5 states has no respect for the Club.

Could be from the Chiefs/Andy Reid culture.  Nagy was our OC.  The Chiefs don't make their players very accessible to talk to the media.

That combined with the whole kicker deal is just odd to me.  Don't remember Kool Aid Man being weird like that but you may be right.

The Chiefs are strangely protective of their players talking to the media.  As an example, last year while Eric Berry was "week-to-week" with his heel, the club wouldn't let him anywhere near the press.  Even after he was back on the field, he didn't have to comment.  The fan base was chomping at the bit to know when/if he was coming back.

Yeah I found that pretty odd as well.  Nagy has been a guy who is usually pretty open with the media so I'm surprised to see that.....although that is solely based on last year where they went 12-4 and won the division so there weren't a whole lot of negatives to discuss.  I can kinda see not wanting to dwell on the negative and move on, but still seems pretty strange.  Trubisky is a 3rd year QB who has handled the media pretty well so far in his career...not sure why they're dictating what he can and can't talk about at this point.

Agree...which is why the whole kicker tryout from the same spot, showing the double doink over and over...just is odd.

Agreed.  The whole kicker thing in the offseason was absurd.  I hope they have their guy with Pineiro but obsessing over it the whole offseason was weird.

It may, but there are lots of stories coming out about his behavior years before that. I can’t remember if anyone mentioned it on here but there was a story that came out about AB screaming in the Steelers’ DC’s face about how he shouldn’t be hit in practice because he was too valuable to the team. It pissed Troy Polamalu off so bad that he declared that it was open season on receivers during practice. Troy is known for being one of the more level headed people around.

    Which time?

He wasn’t charged for either. The second case was particularly suspicious. I watched the accuser’s interview with police. His accuser, who took a picture with him earlier in the night, didn’t describe her assailant as “Ben Roethlisberger, the only famous person at the bar.” She described him as “6’5” and 240 pounds.” Like she read it off his NFL.com profile. She ended up not pursuing a civil lawsuit. He did however settle with the first accuser out of court. But he wasn’t criminally charged in either like Halifax claims. I’m not sure of the particulars with Kobe’s case though. I think he settled out of court, but I’m not positive.

And neither has AB been charged. So I guess they're more same than not. Except BBRB paid out settlement and seems like a real swell guy. And guess what? He's still playing in the NFL golly gee!

  • This is why it’s mind-numbing to try and have discussions with you. Is it so hard to say “Oh my bad, I guess he wasn’t charged” and THEN do your “golly gee” stuff and link to his Wikipedia page? I’m not saying he’s a swell guy. I was correcting you by stating facts: he wasn’t criminally charged.

So I was wrong but so are you in claiming AB is as bad as Team Trump Treason and to date, there are worse still playing in the NFL. It must be your pats hatred glasses making you make false equivalencies. Talk about mind numbing.
