NFL and NBA teams are world champions.  To think otherwise is silly.  No other country has any semblance of a good team in either sport.  Laughable.
let's be honest here: even if they were comparable, the american sports leagues would still call themselves world champions. I don't think that can be debated.

Thanks NYC for the love, although not sure why they did it since the Giants hate us almost as much as the Cowboys.

  • I actually think the Pats got fucked. That Clements TD was not a catch. Not saying Philly wouldn't have scored anyway, but everyone's hatred of the Pats showed there. The ertz td was definitely a catch.

What I learned, the league needs to get fucking rid of "the process of the catch" rule.

  • Congratulations Eagles and Eagles fans, you deserved it. Your team played and coached much better than we did. I don't know why Belichick benched Malcolm Butler, but that decision cost us another championship. Thanks Bill, it's clear now that Brady is the GOat and you are an egotistical narc.
I keep hearing about Malcolm Butler. I know he is a good cornerback. I just never knew he was same class as Deion Sanders,  Charles Woodson, or Darrelle Revis in that he took away a whole half of the field and could single handily change a game. Or Pats fans are looking for an excuse.
Well he's infinitely better than Johnson Bademosi and Jordan Richards.

You guys had your starting quarterback, though, right? Just checking...
So back up QB is the new gold standard or put down? TB was once a back up QB too. Maybe Folds will have a future as bright as TB’s. Nah.

It is when the other Pats fan reaches for the "back up corner back" excuse. Nah.
Pats' secondary had been getting burned all season. Last night was no surprise. Still question why Butler was benched but oh well, it is what it is. On to next season. The off season will be interesting. And the Eagles starters gave up 505 yards, so there is that.

    ....aaaaaaand they won.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaagainst a 40 year old quarter back. Barely.

Dude, all week you went on and on about how they were going to win. Brady is the best. Was gonna be easy. Now Brady is just a 40 year old qb. Painful man.

Please point out where I went on and on about how the Patriots were going to win and make it look easy or where I said Brady was the best. I did reference a practice parade, TB having played in more SBs and a motel 6 room getting busted up. I also remember saying how I looked forward to seeing the Patriots beat the Chiefs in the AFC game after they lost to KC. Funny how you so can’t stand other teams’ fans you have to make shit up.

  • Drunken idiots are drunken idiots in every city.  Been better and there have been worse celebrations...
Richmond Tigers won their first premiership since 1980 last year and they have probably the biggest and most passionate fans in the AFL, when they won the grand final last year thousands swamped Richmond and none of this car flipping, looting, shit eating and shit throwing and whatnot happened.
The rest of the world evolved from paleolithic times.

I'd hate to think what Philly CBD might look like if they lost. It would probably be like the apocalypse.

  • Catch rule is so lame.
Yeah, I don’t even know how you could even consider reviewing the Ertz TD. The guy took 3 full fucking steps after he caught the ball before diving into the end zone. The whole process of the catch and did he become a runner arguments are downright asinine at times.

Yep.  Worst part is that I wouldn't have been surprised if they ruled it a catch or no catch....I have no fucking idea anymore.

Lol, if Vancouver in 2011 taught me anything, it's that it's actually pretty fucking easy to catch these idiots and charge them as criminals now. There are now videos and photos of every one of them being reviewed by the Philly police department. I think about 850 people in Vancouver have criminal records (and some went to jail) because they also forgot that their hooliganism was being recorded by a hundred people, hahaha. And the public was more than happy to share the images and report the people they recognized in them.

Congratulations Eagles and Eagles fans, you deserved it.

If you mean the commercial, that was actually pretty funny. And if you're saying something else, with that "fruitcake" comment, then that's pretty pathetic.

  • So apparently Malcolm Bulter didn't play cuz he missed curfew and had weed on him.  Ya know, god forbid ya have a little fun and stay out late.  But sure, beat the shit out of your fiancee on camera, totally fuckin fine. The NFL sucks.

It really does. The XFL might actually be successful at this point. They'll allow weed, steroids, cocaine, hookers, concussion inducing hits, no instant replay, a catch to be a catch. America loves that shit. The fact  that the refs had to spend 5 minutes to review that final Ertz touchdown. I mean he CAUGHT the ball at the 6 yrd line, took three big steps, reached out for the goaline, broke the plane.

While we're at it, Bill Belichick is an ass. I hope Kraft dumps him at this point. Pats have been better off without him for years, he's cost them too many championships. If we're looking to give credit for the Pats dynasty it's mostly due to Tom Brady.

  • Seeing I don't know much about American football, can someone tell me how the players know which play to make after each down?
I see the coaches have earphones and a mic. Do they communicate directly to the players when they are on the field, like do the players have earpieces so they can hear? If not, who are the coaches talking to then?

typically, the offensive coach will call the plays and is mic-ed into the qb's helmet.  the qb communicates to the other players on what the call is.  the qb can also adjust the play when they line up if he sees something in the defense.  the only one who can hear the coaches are the qb and the patriots

I feel better about the Pats chances of winning as the week moves along. C'mon now...it's Brady and Belichick against who? There's not one person on the other side of the ball that scares me. The two weeks off benefits the Pats getting Gronk back. It also gives them more time to prepare for the Eagles' gimmicky run/pass system. Pats O line has been playing well lately. They'll get the double team on Cox, run some 5 wide, no huddle. Dink and dunk, hit the Rbs, catch the Eagles front substituting, tire them out. Schwartz will make some questionable calls. Eagles are gonna get overaggresive, Pats will hit some big plays on screens. Go ahead lineup Jenkins on Gronk, and Brady will expose their secondary. Their secondary sucks. Look for Brady to connect with Cooks
on a 60 yard TD in the 2nd/3rd quarter.

I heard that Peterson defers to his math guys in the booth for 4th down calls? That is laughable, especially in the game where you need to trust your intuition the most. The Eagles might score some points early but Pats will make the necessary adjustments. Coaching is going to be a big factor in this game. The Eagles are a solid team, but they're not ready for a team that is this well coached and in this big of a spot. They'll make it a game, but will find a way to vomit
all over themselves. History repeats itself, Pats win 31-23 for championship number six.

    Sorry, had to.
    Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirds!

Loved the Eli and ODB commercial.
    Alright, alright, alright!

I'm quoting this but I don't really have anything to say in response. The insanity of this statement just jumped off the screen at me.
