people are still watching, but not always on a TV set.

and two presidential debates essentially wiped out those two games altogether.

a bunch of shit teams doesn't help, either

  • This 49ers team is the worst team I have seen play in a long, long time. They don't do anything well. They suck in every phase of the game. Until York steps down I think they will end up being the new Browns. Every year they will have high draft picks yet will never get better.

how about 2 good teams playing to a 6-6 tie with 2 chip shot field goals missed? the Eagles-Vikings game yesterday from 2 good teams was terribly played. hard to argue that the quality of the game doesn't stink right now.

They run the ball well with Hyde considering there is no threat of a pass to the defence.

They are terrible. And they wasted a pick and a lot of money on Goff. They might be a decade or more getting back.

Harbaugh wasn't so bad after all.

I wouldn't write Goff off yet, Fisher has already said "he wants him to watch and learn", Wentze would have sat and watched if Minnesota didn't decide to make such a foolish trade and Prescott in Dallas was suppose to sit, then Romo got hurt...

I believe Fisher sat McNair for 2 years before he started and he was pretty good.

Aaron Rogers sat as well, the same as I'm not annoiting Prescott and Wentz as the next all pro quartbacks ... both are off to terrific starts, but you just never know.

There's also a boatload of QBs that speak to the contrary as well. There are more first round busts than first round successes (Kyle Boller from the same university comes to mind- great physical traits... but hardly the wherewithal to succeed).

QB is a very tricky position to gauge.

    Yeah, Leaf is a good.

Man, i can't remember his name, but he was 1st round draft pick(can't remember if he was a #1 overall pick or not). I want to say he went to LSU. He ate himself out of football because he got fat. I think he tried to make a comeback too.

AH, i just find out who he was: JaMarcus Russell & he was the first pick in the 2007 Draft.

    http://www.si.com/nfl/2016/04/26/jamarcus-russell-oakland-raiders-draft-comeback

A little part from the article:

Based largely on this measure of athleticism—and a body to rival that of a linebacker—he was the first pick in the 2007 draft, lavished with more money than Peyton Manning, who’d just won the Super Bowl.

Media is saying that Osweiler should have stayed in Denver, but Houston offered him $37M guaranteed and Denver only offered $30M guaranteed. That is a lot of money for a QB who hasn't established himself to turn down. Judging by his performance so far this year, it looks to be a good business decision.

Ryan Leaf. Yup... a champion for sure.

Peyton Manning picked first that year... then Leaf number two. Moss picked in that draft as well.

Jamarcus is the one that tipped the cart- to that point... the players' union protecting rookies who have never played a down in the NFL at the expense of veterans (salary cap in mind). Fixed contracts are much fairer.

i can't believe two teams offered him at least $30 million guaranteed. average at best.

Looks like the Pats will get the Bills without McCoy this weekend. This coming after last week when they faced Pitt without Ben.
You can argue that this will be two straight weeks where the Pats travel on the road and face a good team without their best player.
    Strange how things happen sometime.
