It's sad when the only thing I have to look forward to as a Browns fan is the fact that Bernie is the color man for the preseason games.

goodell's latest effort to further ruin the league

if you think the regular season will go smoothly with the replacement officials, you're mistaken. My favorite goof from the weekend: In Buffalo Thursday night, back judge Craig Burd saw a Bills player down the ball at the Washington 4-yard line. Burd dropped his beanbag there, then inexplicably started waving his right arm up and down, signaling a touchback -- even though he'd seen the ball downed at the four. A replay review corrected it.

Giants' rookie Jayron Hosley returned a punt against the Jags, and there was a holding call on the play, and the ref in Jacksonville called the hold on Hosley. Pretty tough for a ballcarrier to hold for himself

Although is was against a preseason version of the the Rams, I was impressed with Andrew Luck's debut. He's accomplished more in a half of a preseason game then Curtis Painter did all of last year.

By the way, anyone else looking forward to the Joe Flacco / Curtis Painter QB controversy in about 12 weeks?

I think he was a plant by HBO. It's not like teams are looking to sign washed-up receivers with personality disorders ... at least teams outside of the NFC West.

Man they are awful. Last place in the east this year (even with Miami being bad). I love Rex but he better get the resume polished up.

I get that they want to expand the game globally, but am I the only person who thinks this is the dumbest idea in the world???? A team in London is so fucking ridiculous.....that team would be at such a disadvantage. They should worry about getting a team in LA first.

I think the NFLPA would block any attempt to establish a permanent team. I'm not even sure the owners would approve it.

I would hope so. The whole thing is so ridiculous, but the topic keeps coming up. I just don't get it. :fp:
