Looks like Adrian Peterson will be missing a game or two this coming year for something besides his knee injury.

Pretty surprised to see that story today. AP doesn't seem like the type that would be getting into shit like that...

From what I've read, he didn't do anything. The reports I read sound like it was some douchebag cops trying to act tough.

Lot of reporting, if I may call it that, on TMZ regarding this....the people at the club said it was very unusual behavior for him....but he did get seriously tanked and cause a problem.

I'll give Peterson the benefit of the doubt. An off-duty cop working as a bouncer = tons of attitude

The Colts PR team announced they will black-out home games that are not 100% sold out, which defies the NFL 85% mark but I guess teams are free to set their own mark. Talk about a dumb move. There are only 2000 tickets left, so they will most likely make it.

I remember the dark days when Dolphins fans would occupy half the Hoosier Dome. Considering the team publicly executed every beloved player with the exception of Reggie Wayne about five months ago, perhaps they should rethink this move.

Oh, and there is the fact that local taxpayers provided $700M for the construction of the stadium and the lease deal has Indy paying for all the upkeep while the Colts claim all the revenue.

Note: the reason they are doing this is because the NFL 85% rule makes the home team pay half of the proceeds of every ticket over the 85% mark to the visiting team. If you are at the 98% mark, which the Colts are, that is a lot of cheddar ... but then you have to weigh the marketing ability of showing a product to your local fans when you are trying to sell out

Basically, the NFL created a rule that takes the black-out blame off of their shoulders and put it on the individual teams ... and created a penalty to ensure the team honors the 100% blackout. So expect the blackouts to continue across the league.

Anyone catch that segment Ron Jaworski did on Sportcenter ranking his top QBs?

I only caught the final list, but I don't understand how he ranked Peyton Manning so high when he hasn't played in over a year... That really bugged me... Anyway, carry on.

I'd guess b/c it's Peyton fucking Manning. I think he could be quite a bit worse than the last time he played and still deserve that ranking. I don't see any lower ranked qbs on that list that just have to go above him.

    That's not to say Jaworski isn't a dipshit/jackass.

Yeah, I wouldnt get too mad at the Colts for that. If a team is in danger of not selling out... No doubt at all that the blackout rule will affect attendance.

The big mistake is that they did not spin the idea to the public. They just released a statement and the public freaked out.

Remember, half the fans are still stinging about seeing Manning in ..... whoa boy ..... a ..... not feeling so well ... Broncos jersey!!:sick::sick: .... sick0020.gif

Yep. 4 years, $32M. Seems like a fair deal for both sides. So glad that is finally over...been hearing about this contract crap w/ Forte for the past year.
