    The times union theater (moran) in Jax is downtown and right next to the jacksonville landing(jacksonvillelanding.com) For better views search google images. There are plenty of restaurants/bars and you can walk to the venue(about 100-200 yards). Right across the river is friendship fountain. You can take the water taxi across the river for about 8 bucks and it will bring you right back to the landing. Search jacksonville friendship fountain on google images for some really good pics. The view of the jax city from the fountain is really nice. I don't expect a lot happening down there that night due to midweek. If you are looking for a nice relaxing evening you may want to consider the Jax show. This is also the first time Eddie or even Pearl Jam has played Jax. First time in the city. Should be a great show. Any questions you may have, just send me a PM and I will try go get back to you.     I am going to enter all 4 I think... to increase my odds of getting 10c tickets. The closest to me is Orlando and the rest are about the same distance away, so we'll see... If I don't get Orlando I will probably try for tickets in public sale.

    I entered the lottery for Fort Lauderdale and Orlando. Hopefully I get picked for one of the shows. :)

    I'm going for the Clearwater show. This will (hopefully) be the second show I attend at Ruth Eckerd Hall, the first will be the Fresh Beat Band in April. :D

    Great acoustics at the Moran Theatre in Jax; here's their website: http://www.jaxevents.com/venues/times-u ... ming-arts/. Like others have already mentioned the Jacksonville Landing is literally right next door which has a few bars and restaurants but it's nothing to write home about. Plenty of hotels and restaurants nearby but there is not a whole lot of nightlife downtown on a weeknight. The theatre is only a couple miles from an area called 5 Points and the Riverside area, which are both cool areas with lots of bars/restaurants. San Marco is about 2 miles south which also has a variety of bars/restaurants. If anyone is really looking to spend a few days in Jax though, I'd recommend staying out at the beach which is about 15 miles east of downtown. If anyone wants any more advise feel free to message me.

    There is a Hilton, a W, and a Westin all practically next
    to each other on the west side of A1A across from the beach;
    about 15 min from airport & 10 min from downtown &
    the performing arts center ~
    There is also a Ritz Carlton on the "Strip" for your consideration...

    Just don't get too googlely-eyed at the bikini bods -
    most likely they are still in high school :lol:

    i'll be at the clearwater show since it's about 10 minutes from my place! :D my birthday's on weds so this is THE BEST early birthday present ever! will most likely end up going to the orlando show too and maybe ft. lauderdale, but probably not jacksonville...

    I'm trying to see what the flights are like and right now the best I could do was like $560 return, then tickets hotel and car rental, not looking good :( and this is just for 1 show.
    Might have to skip this tour :(

    Just dawned on me that the FTL show is on Mother's Day...not that it matters to me since I am not married and no kids...and mom won't care...she already thinks it's an overrated "holiday" anyways...Ha!

    I've decided I'm definitely going to be at Clearwater, Orlando and Jacksonville. Fort Lauderdale is still a question. :)

    I will definitely be going to the Fort Lauderdale show. Broward Center is really nice. Really excited for this!! Maybe I'll have some Faithfull Ale tonight to celebrate!!

    Funny enough I though the same thing about the Faithfull Ale...but I'm going to hold off until the day off show. My buddy and I will crack our bottles open and celebrate then.

    Check flying out of Buffalo also.... The most expensive return flight was $450 taxes in.

    I cant lie, at first i was a little bummed that it was just an Ed solo tour but now i just cant wait til the 30th and then the ticketmaster public sale to get all of my plans nailed down. Pretty pumped, pretty anxious. Sounds like quite a few people are looking to come down here. I hope you guys are able to pull it off.

    Wouldnt surprise me. Maybe Ed wants to take the girls to Disney, so 2 shows in Orlando.

    I hope so, I blew my chance with at least the clearwater show when I hit refresh. I now have the dreaded two entries for that show. I'm still waiting to hear from 10C to see if im still eligible for the Orlando/Jax shows. Not feeling the warm and fuzzy though.
