Will you be driving to the show? Could just leave her in the car.

Or maybe get a short chain and padlock, sew her into her pumpkin seat and chain her to a bike rack or even a tree.

agree, too young. my oldest is 4 and i know she would be bored after 3 songs.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

As a mum of 2 kids I would be kinda pissed if I went to concert only to sit next to a toddler, and I love little kids! For me a concert is grown up time. I wouldn't take my kids until they were at least 10 and even then I doubt they would want to come - It's ok if your kids share your passion for the music (like BD's kiddies) but a lot don't.

I love it when i walk into a movie theater and see a couple with a little baby in a onsie stroll down the aisle prior to the coming attractions trailers. I especially love it when they start to cry in the middle of the movie and the parents do not get up and carry them into the lobby and instead, try to calm the child in their seats... to no avail.
    Doesn't everyone?

If it was an outdoor festival IE: Bumbershoot, I say it’s all good. Outdoors, other kids, no chairs to try and sit still in. But this is a theater show and the drunks already making it tuff to enjoy.

  • Worst idea since the time I used Nair on my balls. Seriously, why? It's not like your kid will remember a thing. Way too loud and plus what if it starts crying. You know how pissed I would be if a person next to me had a screaming child at an Eddie concert. What that phrase those black men use on ESPN. C'Mon MAN!

Yes, I definitely think we're gonna do bumbershoot next year! I can't wait. I guess I am just excited to share my joy of music with my little girl. I think we may be able to work out a way to go to the Vegas show actually because my wife has family 1.5 hours away so we may have a sitter. It's all gonna work out after all! Now just gotta worry about tickets...

I don't recall seeing small children at EV at Benaroya. It is a very 'intimate' show...Ed speaks softly, and even from 4th row I had difficulty hearing him. (yes, I do have hearing issues as well)

I would not like to be the person sitting next to a squirmy fussing child at a show like that.

awesome plug to brag you were 4th row at benaroya.

    ;)

edit: just realized it was EV and not PJ. still not bad. hehehe.

Now thats one to ponder

Can a one year old differentiate swearing from singing at elevated decibels, and if so, can he/she possess the ability to use it in context? Should Ed simply spout off with a "fuck" here and a "fuck" there, would this child be apt to repeat it?

I think 20 months old is way too young for an EV show...

I love kids (I work with them), but even I would not be thrilled to be sitting next to a toddler at an EV concert. The attention span of a 20 month old is pretty short, and I really can't see how a child of that age could comfortably sit through a show for that long. They would want to be up and running around after a few minutes!

Do you have a trustworthy relative in Albuquerque who could fly with you and babysit at your hotel while you go to the show? Or if you're wife isn't that much of a fan, could she look after your daughter that night?

I took my 8 yr old to see pi in columbia. Great experience. Think 2 may be a little young, if the little one gets sick, you will have a bad experience.
