Yeah user name is one thing, posting address on internet for all to see is not the right thing to do.

Pic is down - It was my intention to show proof that I had sent the package on that date and held my end of the deal.

Who cares? You are calling someone out over a set of pins/buttons! What's the value on these things? Maybe I'll just send you the money

I don't care if it's a set of pins or a Benny Hall LP. It's a matter of principles - since when is it OK to screw peple over?

I know it's a matter of principles but for $5 or $10 I would give it time.

Pm me your paypal and I'll take care of this.

$5 or $10 and you post his address up.. and then talk about principles

You're lucky you took that down, In my opinion it is worthy of a sit on the sidelines...

Thanks for the offer - I know you're a reasonable guy. I sincerely don't want your money or his money or anyone's money. I want him to be honest about this and just respond to my emails and tell me why he never held his end of the deal.

See, I'm an honest guy, and I can't stand people taking advantage of this.

I can't seem to understand why every time there's a post about someone calling someone out, the purists here don't support the person that's getting screwed. You 'side' with the wrongdoer.... it's beyond me.

I'm not siding with anyone... Fact of the matter is you put the guys address up... that is wrong...

We don't know all the facts (the whole two sides to every story)

What we do know is putting a picture up with the guys address is wrong... But we all make mistakes... That's why we jumped on your back

I hope it works out for you...

I'm not siding with ANYONE. It's hard to do that when you don't know both sides of the story. I offered to pay you for the pins just to make this go away since it's a small trade. Yes, I think we need a page listing bad traders but it will be VERY hard to pick someone to run that thread AND do it fairly without devoting entire days to deciding who is right/wrong.

ANyway, it's National Cameltoe day, here ya go :D :

    Yeah the value is irrelevant

surely the point is why do people agree and reach out even to make deals, benefit from it and then deliberately go quiet.

The south america pins do also seem very rare..... They could certainly be more valuable than $5

Hi man, honest to God, it wasn't my intention to put the guy's address... I wanted to put a picture of the envelope that I sent to him with the stamps with the date that I sent him the package.

So I can admit to that being wrong and that's why I took it down 3 mins later... I'm an idiot for doing that because I didn't think about the address thing.

Other than that, I'm just reaching out to the forum to 'mediate' this and set the record straight...

I don't know what we're waiting for to start a seller's blacklist or a DO NOT TRADE list. It would be useful since a lot of people are getting screwed over trades by the same people over and over again.

    You could start one :D

I personally am on the fence on this; everyone has a different threshold of what's acceptable, and given the track record on the forum, I fear it woud just turn out to be a giant bitch fest. Doesn't mean you (or anyone else) can't give it a go and see what happens. Guess if it gets out of control the thread will just get locked.

Sorry you're in a bad trade situation again, hope it all works out.

Thanks Suzie, I appreciate your input. Maybe after this gets solved, I'll start one (with some guidelines, timeframes, etc.). If it works, then I'll may bring peace to the forum! :)

.... although the first guideline would be "no bitching allowed".

I don't think someone who isn't even on the A+ traders page would be a good person to start a page like this. Like I've said before, you need someone with credibility who is willing to devote countless hours to the page and trying to settle arguments. I like the idea of a bad traders page but it will be tough to control.

Here's what I would do. Don't trade with anyone unless they are listed on the A+ page. If they aren't listed and you are, have them send the stuff first and don't send out their stuff until you receive yours. Also, don't buy any FS items unless that person is reputable.

I just completed a transaction with user Parkdropper, I had ZERO problems with him. The user did an excellent job of following through on his end. Sorry if something went sour on your end, but I did want to let others know that the user has the ability to follow through.

    Weird.

Ok, so the OP made a mistake and posted the guy's address, but that doesn't change the fact that he was seemingly wronged in the first place. It makes no sense to paint him as the villain because he made an etiquette mistake (posting the address) while calling out someone who appears to not be a trustworthy trading partner. It is to all our benefit to know who these type of traders are REGARDLESS OF VALUE.

Who knows, maybe the trading partner has good reasons, but in this world of ever connected devices is it really that hard to ask for a stinking response? If you make a deal, and your trading partner communicates, you owe a response, plain and simple. It's part of the "business deal".

Also, I think it is sort of crappy to patronize the OP.

For the record I would certainly add Juan to the A+ traders list. Done countless trades with him - all absolutely perfect. He will go out of the way to help you and is an extremely honourable guy. No question.

I appreciate you telling me this - gives me hope that we can resolve this in a gentlemanly manner. Again - I know that there's proabably a good excuse why he didn't go through with this, I just grew tired of writing him countless emails and getting no response.

This wouldn't have happened if all he did was say "Sorry, I've been busy, I promise I'll get to this soon".

Another piece of advice...If it takes someone 3 days to respond to your trade offer and you see they read your message 3 days prior, LET IT GO and don't trade with them. You will only wait longer to get your goods.

Crazy (can I call you crazy?:lol: ) I agree 100% that the list needs to be started by someone credible, but I disagree that just because someone is not on the A+ traders list they are not good traders. This is not black and white, unfortunately, which is probably why no one's attempted to start one.

Yes, you can call me crazy. And no, I'm not as crazy as you would think

I wasn't saying that people NOT on the A+ list are bad traders. I'm sure there are people on A+ that completed a trade valued at $20(which doesn't say anything about their potential for a $1000 trade). I just think that the person that starts a bad traders page is going to have their hands full and needs to be ready for another full time job! I'm not volunteering for that bitch session ;)
