Making a twat of yourself...

I just sang The Pogues 'Dirty Old Town' in front of approx 200 Chinese people.

And I had no music to back me up. I even dedicated the song to this dirty old city I live in.

I think they thought It was rubbish...only about two people applauded at the end of it...but what the fuck do they know?

Anyone else ripped it a new one in front of of a big crowd before?

  • I think you could have starred out one of the letters in the thread title. I'm sure I'm not the only woman here that finds that word offensive.
My last message to you ~

You're right. You are a monster! You are sick! Get help!

    At least, I am not a fuck-up! A lying fuck-up!
  • twat? really? it is so easy to offend people
I don't mean to offend anyone, a lot of what I say should be taken with a grain of salt... that said for most of you I'm a stranger on a computer on the other side of the world, don't give me that sort of power!
  • Odd you don't find that offensive.

And here I thought this was in response to the U2 and AC/DC threads.

So 'tw*t' is less offensive than 'twat'?
How do you pronounce 'tw*t' in your head when you read it?
  • twit maybe?

twit less offensive and less effective ... all about the motives

    sorry pink

If you don't find that word offensive, then I doubt you are a female.

That word is almost as offensive as the C word and every woman knows that.

Too late for apologies. I have taken 10+ months of abuse on this forum. My husband is always asking me why I stay and that I should not renew my membership. I'm beginning to think he is right. Some of you people are brutal. Really takes the fun out of everything. Although, nothing will ever change my love for Eddie and the band.

Could you explain "just like out there"? That doesn't sound right. I don't know what you mean.

Holy shiza. No one meant to be hurtful, you are taking a few light-hearted ribs for taking offense to a word a person posted in reference to THEMSELF. You can't even justify your little freak out by saying that using slang for female anatomy in a derogatory way is misogynist when you follow it up with this:

To the d-bags on this thread ~ Go F yourselves!

or suck dick, whichever you prefer.

    wow
I totally wasn't offended till you spelled 'dick' in it's entirety. you could have starred that out. Or said 'suck a BAG of d'....that would have been both funny and unoffensive. Lighten up, or get over yourself...
