Donation made to The Four Diamonds Fund thru Thon.org and Penn State annual dance marathon:

In 1973, a small group of dedicated Penn State students held our first Dance Marathon. That year, 39 dancer couples participated and raised $2,000. Since then, THON’s presence in the Penn State community has grown exponentially. THON now has over 15,000 student volunteers, 700 dancers, and has raised more than $78 million, benefiting The Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital.

THON is now a year-long effort that raises funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. With the support of students from all across the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and THON Alumni all around the world, we continue to make great strides towards finding a cure for all childhood cancers!

I don't mean to offend anyone, a lot of what I say should be taken with a grain of salt... that said for most of you I'm a stranger on a computer on the other side of the world, don't give me that sort of power!

    International Rhino Foundation

My wife is from South Africa and some of her family there recently tuned us in to this. The rise of rhino poaching in South Africa is staggering. Poachers are brutally butchering rhinos simply for their horns. Apparently the black market for the horns has taken off in Asia where many people believe (falsely) that the horns have medicinal powers. Rhinos are on the fast track to extinction. At the rate they are being killed, they'll be gone soon. Tragic.

    Hey Everybody,

Thanks for all the kindness, the bumps, and the donations so far. Sorry for the lack of correspondence, as I've hit a busy patch recently.

As always, I am truly excited and inspired by the generosity shown, especially considering the times. After one week, it would appear that over $700 has been spread around to a large assortment of causes. Thank you so much for that; it's been a real bright spot.

Over 3 weeks left... thanks for everything that you've done thus far... looking forward to seeing where the vinyl will be heading... hopefully another update soon...
