Finally work has slowed down as summer begins, hope to be here more often.....time to get my cycling in and dust off my bike. This is Nattali Rize from Blue King Brown out of Australia. I met her 10 years (hard to believe that much time has passed) ago when the band on their first tour of America with my friend Michael Franti. A very sweet and gracious person who I saw for several east coast tour dates.

This a new song with Julian Marley, partly shot at the Marley house in Kingston, JA.....

    Peace

    Very nice, g.

Cheers to ya, vogon! I discovered his bearish-ness late in the game, but man...so glad I did at all.

Digging on this at the moment - much as how I'm feeling (a note in a song :) )

Hi guys.Been laying low for a few weeks enjoying a more unplugged, untethered break from the interwebs. It was glorious.I didn't realize how much time I spend with my face in a IPad.

First stop back im,checking here in the lounge. Some very strong song choices you crazy kids have posted. So drinks on me today, enjoy! And let me add some much needed Grohl to the musical selections.Cheers

Good choice, rr. And that's where I saw Tool for the first time. Ridiculously wide open GA, Mike Patton and Carey closed out the show double-drumming on Triad.

    Fucking glorious.

I didn't know you weren't a big fan.He is just so genuine and real.May be worth a more I depth listening session.Check out some of the other YouTube vids from Sammy Hagar and the circle. They are a very talented and entertaining group.

Love me some SH who saved Van Halen from an early abyss. The Red Rocker is one wealthy dude from his tequila business......nice to see Michael Anthony in there jamming.

Caught a bit of this in the movie The Departed. Listening to it in full right now with an ice cold beer. It's cheesy but great:

I do love some cheesy music, and I love Badfinger (oh dear) and that song itself.

But oh, poor Pete Ham and that name. Never got teased, I'm sure.

Does anybody else here live in an area with periodical cicada cycles?
In east central Ohio I live in an area overlapped by 3 or 4 broods, but Brood V is the big show. Every 17 years here cicadas come up at concentrations of millions per acre in some areas (mine lol) and put on one of the loudest "shows" in nature.
They are coming up now and the woods are getting louder and louder. There will be trees so thick with cicadas that you can't walk under them because it is such a swarm they will be smacking into your face and body like a scene in a horror movie. It is a pretty interesting biological event, and just another thing for Ohio wusses to complain about lol
I won't eat them like some folks, but I am not afraid or particularly annoyed either.
