  • They have that All Pearl Jam channel on AOL Radio. They should turn that into Monkeywrench and broadcast the shows, but AOL is too corporate for that.

In my experience when someone says a song is a "mood killer" it just means it's a song they don't like. The the crowd could be going apeshit for it, but because I don't like it, it's a "mood killer"

    LOL

The set is pretty nice. I would have loved to have been there.

Thats not really what I meant - the few times I've heard it live it just kills the crowd's energy - even at the Vic it was like slamming the brakes on.

Just my opinion - I like the song, but it just seems to bring the energy to a halt sometimes (until the end of the song when it gets moving)...

    Ed did a song alone.
Words were something like "Everywhere I go, it rains on me."

Eh ... I think any "new" unfamiliar song is gonna do that maybe. If it was all about the crowd's energy, just play 100 consecutive Even Flows and be done with it.

Inside Job was great when I saw it in SF, with the double-necked guitar and the mood lighting. I didn't care if the meatheads next to me couldn't mosh to it.

That's why it's smart to put songs like that at the beginning of a set or an encore - which is what they did tonight.
