Ah POP13/2000. Good times picking one of those copies up @ the ShowBox in Seattle that cold, cold morning. :)
  • There is one for sale here: seller says he doesn’t need to have the Discogs price, although the bidding price should be reasonable: https://link.marktplaats.nl/m1652805823?utm_source=ios_social&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=app_ios

Dont know if it makes a difference but mine was given to me by a friend that used to work at Amoeba Berkeley, 15 or so years ago, said he got it from a charity auction but came with removed outer case, hence no number, only vinyl and sleeves.

Is it fair to say if a copy isn't numbered, it is a bootleg?
  • Remove me from the list.

    Sold it.

    No, there are unnumbered copies.

The boots of these are easily identifiable as they use the CD cover image as the cover, orange vinyl and probably the 16/44.1 files as their source.

Too bad they didn't use the 24Bit Flac vinyl rips of the original pressings as their source. Believe there are two or so vinyl rip sources that sound pretty good, which have been shared in the trading community for years.

Would be great if they someday released a reissue edition of Benaroya on black vinyl for a RSD event.

No, it's fairly common to do an overrun when you create a limited edition item.  10 to 20 percent?   PJ seem to have given out/sold the xtras of the years.  2013 popup event, another pop up event, charity auctions, etc...

But all of these have some marking from 10c e.g. "POP13", right?

Whats the story with the signed version being sold by Matt's son for $1200? And who was the lucky buyer at that price? Was it for charity or something?

No Boom. Thats why it was $1200.
Cool story, thanks for sharing. I will now be refreshing discogs all day.
#3, thats crazy too. I'm assuming the son knew the value and was just being nice to some random guy? Probably doesn't need the extra 5or 10k he could have gotten

Np! He probably has an extra copy. He probably sold this cheap cause Boom didn't sign it. :p

I bought #1909 about 5 years ago. Never thought I would own a Benny (when they were released I wasn’t into vinyl and I only bought the CD 😒) but then I found this copy on eBay and the bidding was low due to the box being damaged. Got it for less than $700 and the vinyl plays great :)

Can't see good from this angle.
Not a big tear on the shrink wrap on this one, which makes this ... super limited!!! :p

    I have 9 Benny’s .. buried in a safe .. all sealed..
    Conversations getting dull
There's a constant ringing in my ears
Sense of humor's void and numb
    And I'm bored to tears.......
