What's your latest album re-discovery.

Do you ever but on a record or CD that you haven't heard in a long time and it knocks your socks off all over again? For some reason I hadn't heard Neil Young/Pearl Jams "Mirror Ball" in a good long while and when I put it one today it was like plugging my brain directly into 20,000 volts of rock 'n roll ecstasy. Whew!!
What's your latest re-discovery?

we love thee, all the all of you.... but "we just like you"
Some great lyrics in that tune.
I just did Pink Floyd's Animals awed more by that album than The Wall.
Really? Interesting... I hear Jack Bruce.
That's awesome! I'm just a fan of Ginger Baker because I'm not sure there has ever been someone as constantly stoned as him that played the drums so well.
Not a big fan of his drumming but his ability to keep a beat whilst cheesing his balls off was incredible. Something my drummer can't do... How am I going to finally kick him out? That's for another day.

Mmm. yes. An excellent choice. I still remember the first time I heard it. My 8th Grade history teacher played the LP in class

Only to spin it and say,"WTF was I thinking? " .... happens all the time stumbling long forgotten tunes
Last time I did that it was a Jon Spencer Blues Explosion album. Don't know what the hell I was thinking.
Aww, I loved JSBE. I wonder if I pulled out 'Orange' and listened to it again if I would kick myself. I dont even have a copy anymore. In college I would play 'Bell Bottoms' at 10 on my shitty CD system and tweak the speakers.
The risk I took was calculated, but man, am I bad at math - The Mincing Mockingbird
FYI...The Last Waltz is on the Palladia channel Thursday night night at 9:00!!!
The Band is the one band that makes me wish I was born twenty years before I actually was. Such talent. They are appreciated and under appreciated at the same time. Just awesome!!
