From a collectors standpoint, the white one is a must have as probably a tenth or less were pressed. It is rarer than Benaroya Hall just not individually numbered.0

the catalogue numbers on the spine might/should be different? my black copy (uk) is 2716466
anyone got a white BS or black american copy care to share theirs? might help.Caleb Benjamin Higgs-16th December 2006

...I will just agree to disagree, but if you have a white one, I applaud you. Having ONE at all I think is to be applauded, black, white, purple, yellow, whatever. If it doesn't SKIP or isn't WARPED is even better!
As for Catalogue numbers....my black one is MWR9413.0 -
Can't believe this thread's gone 43 posts and been on the main page for a couple days without someone pointing this out: To the best of my knowledge, White Backspacer has no UPC on back and normal LP does.
I've seen others say that and that's how it is for mine.
If that's true, this thread's filled with a ton of BS (pun!) and no factual, common sense.0 -

You don't know...whoever decided on the packaging never figured that a labeling indicating white vinyl would be appropriate...another example that this band cares less and less about it's fans.I have certain rules I live by ... wow. i guess you didn't consider everything they put out for the fans in the last 2 years or so. also, they've said it over & over again that they wanted to keep moving forward, yet they took the time to look back for the fans.
PJ20 festival, tours, EV tours, bootlegs, PJ20 movie, Ten Reissue, Vs/Vitalogy Resissue, Vault #1....none of these things ring a bell?
a sticker saying "white" would have been fine, but it's certainly not necessary.I LOVE MUSIC.

that's a smart way to tell the difference!
i think we'll take a packing break & go play frisbee wars. i'll throw the orange fixer vinyl (or maybe the blue...hmmm..) and my wife will use the white Backspacer.
wish me luck! :thumbup:I LOVE MUSIC.

it's just my opinion...don't take it personally...but the merchandising with this band is a joke now...people buying stuff just to sell at huge profits on ebay...sadly I know people who would have liked some of this stuff for their own enjoyment, not to resell at huge profits. This is being forced by the bands merchandizing practices. You can have limited merchandize by having a presale or at least a date and time time the merchandise goes on sale.
Now for the concerts...people do realize that price charged has more than doubled since 2005 but it's about as plain as any concert you'll get and the tours are more like greatest hits tours and only in the markets they want to go to.
As for all the planing that went into pj20...no 1 thought of investing in HD screens for and placing them in various locations for people farther back.
It's just constructive feedback...too bad the band didn't look to the fans for feedback...and all they've done involved the green.
What Metallica did this last week was for the fans, U2 360 tour $30 seats was for the fans, Paul McCartney $35 seats was for the fans, I believe Springsteen's last tour had discounted tickets, Petty has toured with discounted tickets.I have certain rules I live by ...
