Backspacer white vinyl - how do I know?

This record should probably go down as one of PJ's rarest. I'm fairly certain that a thousand of these were pressed which is half the amount of the Benaroya set.

When I purchased a purple vinyl from Metclub it had a sticker saying it was purple

Man, that sucks. I am sure some of these ebay sellers are banking on the fact that you won't open it and just "assume" its the white vinyl. Very cool the 10club made these available, but having some way to differentiate it from the black backspacer would help to avoid this issue.

Thanks everyone. I just heard back from the seller and he/she is actually being pretty cool about it and I'm sending it back. The odd part is that he/she says the "ten club must have messed up my order"? Not sure I'm buying that.

I paid $170, btw, which I thought was pretty good. I've been tracking these things for a bit and, just like the Blu Ray limited PJ20 DVD's (which I already have) they are super expensive.

I'm still going to try to get one though! Just like a drug addict, I gotta have my PJ collectibles!

just make sure the seller pays you before you ship it back to them. i'd also keep a record of your communication just in case you need to take further action w/ eBay and/or PayPal.

Anybody else notice the the white Backspacer cover seems to be not as glossy as the black vinyl version? Or is it just my eyes? It seems to me the white vinyl one I got from the 10 Club seems to be a dull black.

sorry to bother, I'm not a native speaker, so I would like to ask you what you mean by "glossy", in order to understand what you are pointing at, and then compare my white backspacer with the regular one

It seems to me that the cover of the album on the white BS is a flat black, while the black version has a little more gloss, or shine to it.... Just the black, on the front and back of the album.

Seriously, that was one thing I still can't understand about this album. Black vinyl, white vinyl, who cares? Are you going to flip it? They both sound the same, right? They're both OOP, right? I've got the standard black vinyl, & just couldn't wrap my mind around the uproar over how fast the white one sold out, how much it's going for on the 'bay, etc, etc.

So I did NOT buy a white copy. I DID, however, spin my BLACK one yesterday. And it was GOOD.
