I posted this in the other forum as well, but figured it might be worth a double post....
I thought I would give something back since the ticketing mishap scored me tenth row seats with a 202xxx tenclub number. Please don't expect much when looking at these, they were done with a very basic digital camera, and the memory card was maxed out so the video clips aren't really long.
Vids: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mLgI4hny4s Alive
(Eddie came over to our side of the stage, and someone throws a bracelet/watch to him that he put on a little later)
Once again, these aren't all that great, but they are all that I have. If anyone ever comes across a video bootleg of the entire concert, please let me know. This was by far the best concert I have ever been to, and I am ready to relive it.
LoriDee! I remember you from McFaddens! I, um... am trying to describe myself in case you don't recall. I wore a hat... we walked to the bathroom together... haha, ring a bell? I don't really post on here (in fact, I think this is my first post) but I sure do a lot of reading on here. I guess I'm more of the type of person to observe what is going on... anyway, I was thinking after the show how great it was to be able to just wander around the Pearl Jam pre-show environment and just mingle with total strangers, everyone joined together by their love for this band... made me feel like people aren't strangers as long as if they have the same music in their spirits.
I sat right next to the soundboard, I apologized in advance to the girl behind me for being tall, I told her to let me know if I was in her way. Anyway, from time to time I would just let my eyes circle around the arena and marvel at the energy coming from every corner of that place. This was my 4th show, and although I thought nothing could top the Vote for Change experience at the DeltaPlex, I was proven wrong. I've never been to a show where the energy given back and forth from the band to the audience has been so evident.
On the bootleg you can hear some guy yell after they played "Life Wasted" (at 3:52 to be exact) "THAT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!" That pretty much sums it up... I could go on and on but I don't think any words could describe the total bliss this show put me in.
How cool is this...I will pm you. We looked for you! We were in the middle of the floor!
Thank you for the videos Coopia!!! Awesome and let me know by email if you ever find a vid-boot of that concert. My daughter will be thrilled to view what you have now I must add.
The worries of this world creep in. . . .
Will my family be safe . . .?
Can my daughter taste love. . .
My son’s draft number will be A1.
The lights go down. . .
And Eddie comes out. . .
The band is like a drug. . .
A sleeping pill, so to speak. . .
I drift off. . .
Waking in a world of peace. . .
Everything is alright. . .
I am full of love. . .
The boss shouts. . .
“Get back to work.”
It’s been three days. . .
Since the concert lights went out. . .
I am still in a daze. . .
Eddie V. said that we where and I quote "One hell of an audience."
This was my first PJ concert. . .
I would like to sell all my things. . .
Making a pilgrimage with them. . .
A journey of human life. . .
Can't you see that there's light in the dark.
Nothing's quite what it seems in the city of dreams.

Grand Rapids 2006
I have seen many shows, the energy surprised and elated me. It ranks up there with the last 2 Vegas shows! Unbelievable. It was so worth the trip from Denver..... I'll be surpised if the Petty/PJ show here surpasses.
What an awsome show! I have been a pj fan for about 3 years now but this was the first oppertunity I had on seeing a show, Oh man am I spoiled now! My buddies and I went down to GR at about 11am and hung out until my buddies band played at Mcfaddens little pre show which was sweet. We only live about 20miles south of GR so this was as good as it gets. I thought I was a PJ fan before after a show like that it is all I think about and the bootleg is all I listen to now recalling how awsome it was at the show. We had 7th row tickets on stones side which was sweet espeacially when Eddie came over and pointed right at me and threw a tamborine that unfortunaltly dident make it that far to us. All and all thow this was by far the greatist excperiance of my life!! Thank You PJ!

Lol, welcome to the board Mike! Hah, we were in GR from 11am 5/19 to 2am 5/20. Awesome time. And what about that Cherry Pepsi at McFaddens? F'ing awesome! Lol.
Awsome show, went with a buddy of mine. Did anyone see the World wide suicide sign during ledbetter?
i did. we were in the 2nd row dead center. personally, i'm so happy that there was a mess up with the tickets because EVERYONE around us had never gotten seats like that and we had a BLAST! this was the best concert i've ever been to, and my boyfriend, who was not a pj fan before, loved it! eddie was tossing out tamborines, pointed to me (in turn i pointed to myself like "me?") he smiled and nodded to me and tossed me one. i'm gonna frame it with my ticket and a picture that a guy took of me getting the tamborine.

I loved this show. So much energy from a small crowd base. An amazing setlist so much for the person who started the official hope for a shitty setlist in grand rapids.

I've been to 14 shows. E. Lansing '98, Columbus '00, Detroit '00, Cleveland '03, Columbus '03, Detroit 1 & 2 '03, Toledo '04, Grand Rapids '04, London '05, Toronto '05, Grand Rapids '06, Cleveland '06, Detroit '06, and absolutely nothing compares to that show. Cleveland '03 was awesome, Columbus '00 was amazing, London '05 was just plain nuts, but none of them compare to Grand Rapids '06. From Ed's joke intro of the Wrech of the Edmonds Fitsgerald, to the entire Jamily screeming "I'll never suck satans D@ck". Just amazing!!!!!!

stereo cranked! What a beautiful day here in GR! My neighborhood just relived Pearl Jam in concert all over again (and so did I) Love how my kitty played around the porch when Comatose was going. Stay tuned. There may be a Kitten video on it's way. Woohoo!!!!!!!!
Pearl Jam...can we have a DVD of our show? Purrty Pweese? Otherwise...thanks for the memories...
Man, this had to be one of the best shows on this tour as of yet, if not the best, right up there w/ boston II. I guess I'm just surprised it's been the least discussed of the fanview threads.
Where's the love for GR?... "You be the decider."

Grand Rapids is hands down the best sounding boot..... ANd probably the best concert of the tour...This show has had ZERO complaints about the crowd. Considering that Boston II was being touted as "legendary" even before the show took place, I would say only Grand Rapids got to that status on the merit of the show itself. Pearl Jam made Boston good, The fans made Grand Rapids good..... Therefore PJ was able to relax and really connect with us worry free.
Around the Bend is spot on, probably the best performance of this song ever. Parting Ways has Eddie palying a sitar I believe, giving off the most awe-inspiring sounds, Hard to Imagine speaks for itself.
Oh, and the first show of the long "rock out with your thang out" second encore took place here.
Just listening to the boot again, I notice how sick Mcready's solo on Comatose is.. and how great Boom was on a 10 minute Crazy Mary.
The interchange between Boom and Mike towards the end of that song... man. Listening to the boot of that gives me goosebumps. SO many great things going on with that show, but I think that is my #1 favorite part.

Hey everyone, here's a link to my own comments on the GR Pearl Jam show that I posted on my blog. You can also download a couple of pics that I took from the side of the stage if you like that sort of thing. I also have a few more from the same angle that I'm willing to share if anyone wants to contact me on via email. No strings attached! (Though I would appreciate any help that I could get to find a copy of the GR 04 concert!)
