I spose the airport bar sits in AFTER customs, so they won't be charging Norwegian prices, right?

Thanks D. I expect I'll fly L-A then hoping to train A-P & P-B. They don't seem to have train tickets on sale yet though. Schedules only seem to go about 3 months in advance. I'll keep my eye on it I guess.

Just got good info from friend in London who travels a lot, he said http://www.skyscanner.net is a good place to check flights & prices & while there's no such site comparing different providers for trains closest is: http://www.bahn.de/p/view/index.shtml. That site definitely says: "Sale possible 92 days in advance at earliest" so train schedules only 3 months out.

    Happy New Year Jammers!

I was looking for a bit of advice and seen as lot of you will have attended the Berlin shows in 2009 and 2010 I thought this would be a good place to start. I am attending the Berlin show and I am looking to book my trip in the next couple of weeks. I was thinking Friedrichshain as the place for my accomodation as it is close to the arena and I hear it's a good spot? Also travelling round is not a problem I hear as the transport links are so good? Any advice?

Thanks in advance. Looking forward to the Tour!

both walking distance from the venues..close to train,or metro station..and good prices for the area..
The CabInn Scandinavia is really close to the venue and to the metro system as well, so it's not at bad choice, but it is in a really, really, REALLY boring part of town.
In my opinion you'd be better off booking a hostel in Nørrebro - Still fairly close to the venue, easy to get to and from airport and central station and lot's of bars and places to get food.

Just wanted to say thanks Dimitris and all the people posting here, this thread has been a HUGE help for me, its my first trip to Europe and I couldn't be more PUMPED!!

Also, anyone know of any camping around Brussels, Werchter, Paris, Arras? Thinking about pitchin' a tent for some of the trip (besides AT the festivals, which I've heard negative reviews of). Thanks!
