trust me there is better beer than Guinness or Newcastle. And I love Guinness and Newcastle.

There is much, much, much better beer than Guinness or Newcastle.

For days, no weeks, I have read posts about buying, selling, and trading for beer. $15, $20, $25 dollars a bottle? It's not wine. It doesn't get better with age. It's beer. There's no way it tastes better than a cold pint of Guinness or a bottle of Newcastle. Please enlighten me. Why are people so eager to buy/trade for it?

Who's says anyone is going to actually drink any of it? My guess is that every bottle of it is going to remain capped... just as the majority of Pearl Jam vinyl records, sold from this date forward, are going to remain sealed.
For all we know... they can fill the bottles with donkey piss and the album covers with unsold copies of 'Color Me Badd' records.

Nah I don't think so, I've seen too many people on here that have opened them. Honestly it's the bottle, not the beer that's the attraction. My brother bought a place in Ludlow, VT and has been travelling back and forth between VT and CT for months so we were fortunate to score a couple of bottles...that'll be her on Turkey day provided he doesn't forget them  (everything around here sold out immediately).

I would probably be considered a beer snob and to me it looks like Mic Ultra in the glass so I'm not expecting much. If it tastes good, great but atthe very least I'll have those two bottles as memories of a great weekend/year in PJ history.

P.S. I've opened all my PJ vinyl, the only ones I don't own are Benny and Soldier Field and trust me I'd open them up in a heartbeat if I did own them ;)

Ok so how can i get a bottle of this ...

I'd like to know that too. Don't think Ebay is an option for me because I don't think it's legal to ship alcohol across the border. :(
