I know what you're saying, but man, that weekend needs to be graced with a really nice box set and an official boot that is mixed to perfection. Absoluitely can't wait to hear Release on the official boot. Not a day goes by I don't think about how special that weekend was.

Being able to actually see Release from the 6th row center and seeing Temple of the Dog so close for the first time EVER was the best!!! I would love to see an official boot but would also want to see an official DVD box set.. I remember all of it but would love to relive it... got to meet a bunch of great people...

amazing weekend....i booked a flight friday and flew out the morning of the 2nd show from new jersey and left the next day at 6 am. the day was perfect. wisconsin was unreal for the 24 hours I was there. I didn't have a ticket and pat from washington state hooked me up with a free seated ticket. the 2nd show was great. I just loved the atmosphere and the feeling that everyone there was people I knew about on the boards but never met in person. the muesuem was worth waiting in line for 2 hours.....I just really regret not flying out night one but it was a very much last decision.
A few days later I drive from new jersey and brought my wife to her first pj show at toronto night one...what a first show!

The story starts when I asked the Alpine Vally Resort if they had a hairdryer i could borrow.
They did not.
The lady at the desk then asked me, "do you want to use an iron?"
I said, "I really would rather a hairdryer"
She said "do you want the iron or not."
I took the iron.
I did NOT, however, press said iron , hot or not, up against my wet head.
Instead, I set off to dry my hair using the gigantic blowing vents in on or around the vending machine area.
This dude on the right.. (not the short girl leaning on his elbow)..
saw me drying my hair in such a fashion and empathized with my plight.
I explained that the lady at the Alpine desk wanted me to dry my hair with a frickin IRON
..he couldn't believe that the Alpine Valley Resort was encouraging me to iron my own wet hair dry so he asked a girl that was with him if I could borrow her hair dryer. She kindly said yes.
Well, I ended up using the hairdryer on my shoes too because they were wet, but it wasn't long that I went back to the room to return the hairdryer but nobody was there.
Me and my friend proceeded to put the hairdyer safely back in our room and went to the show.
and we came back.
when we got back to the resort, Dude guy was standing outside the resort and ran over to me shouting "Dude" (even though I am not a dude), "the hairdryer. OMG you didn't return it blah blah"
apparently the once-friendly hairdryer loaner girl was now pissed cuz she thought I stole the hairdryer.
I explained that I tried to return it but they must have already left.
Anyway, I gave hairdryer girl back her hairdryer and said I was sorry, and she said "no you're not, you asshole"
Now....
I have never been called an asshole to my face in my life. It wasn't nice to hear but I didn't get mad.
In fact, I even sent Dude guy packing with two tangerines to give to her as a sign of peace.
I was glad to not find them smooshed around our room's door the next day.

The two openers nearly completed me (no Jerry Maguire reference intended), but other than that I had lots more fun interacting with you 10clubbers over the weekend than the concert itself. The Temple thing was awesome and blew me away....but if you break it down just in terms of the concert it was a good 2 shows.
That being said...I would much, much rather have a Spectrum box.

Glad I was under the covers the first night. Best seats I ever had. Queens and Strokes were amazing. I wish it would have been dryer on the first day and I would have gone in to see the side stages. Too hung over the second day.
Would love nothing more for 2013 than Wrigley, a US tour, a new album......AND Alpine boots. Man what a weekend in Wisconsin.

That guy did me a big favor Alpine Night #1.
