I feel similarly about this place, except for me it's Aerosmith- 4 or 5 shows that I caught them there. It's actually a bit weird to attend an Aerosmith show anywhere else.
I think PJ20 was the first time I've been up there for anyone else, and I've got to say, I picked quite the opportune time/event to do that. The opening notes of Release immediately jumped to the top of not just my favorite moments at Alpine Valley, but my favorite moments of all the live music I've seen in general (and I've been fortunate to have experienced quite a few of those). For the life of me I can't see anything topping that moment for a good long time.

My wife and I were wearing our one year anniversary shirts on night one! So many nice people were congratulating us and saying nice things. We sat on the lawn, right behind the seats at the bottom. We had fun watching people slip on this mudslide all night long. People would yell to them to not cross and then they would. There were also these guys that went crazy...rolling in the mud...jamming out...they were kind of funny at times. Great show and fun memories. My wife made me a scrapbook of our journey and the show. She got some pretty awsome shots of the band. We were so packed in on the lawn. We also think we got contact highs because people were lighting up all around us. We drove to our hotel in Chicago...and on the way we got some cheddar and sour cream chips...BEST chips we ever had!
