Ones I'm slightly embarrassed to have seen:
Creed (they were at edgefest '98 Nickelback (friend of a friend drummed for them before they got big, seen a few of the early shows) Limp Bizkit (They performed at Wrestlemania in Seattle... lol)
That's what all came to mind. At this point i've been going to concerts for 25 years, and fairly heavily for the last 20. I'm sure I missed some. I scrolled up to review other peoples lists which reminded of a few.
I'll end it with the band I haven't seen but want to see the most:
The Rolling Stones
I know they're old, but I think they're the biggest rock band I've never seen. I feel like i've now seen most of the bands/acts I've wanted to see. There's a few smaller ones I haven't seen (that still tour) but the Stones are the big one. I really hope they do one more North American tour before they stop touring. One more Vancouver or Seattle show. It was their steel wheels tour as a kid that clued me into touring. all the commercials on the radio.. I wanted to see it but was to young :(

That was cool - I know your list isn't complete, and I couldn't even begin to post my list, but from your list I only counted 14 bands I haven't seen, so we saw a LOT of the same bands! Loved reading your list!
And go see the Stones soon, because we should never take for granted how long we'll have to see any band... My friend in high school won in a massive lottery, won front row seats at Madison Sq. Garden for the Tattoo You tour. We got about 6 people into those 2 seats... Definitely an epic rock memory (although almost as epic as the show itself was being part of all of MSG singing "Who Are You" with the sound system between the openers and the Stones, that was like a truly magical moment too...
Pearl Jam (12) Mark Lanegan (7) QOTSA (4) Eddie Vedder (4) Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (2) Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Spoon (3) Paul McCartney (3) Radiohead Temple of the Dog James Taylor Arcade Fire War on Drugs (2) The National (3) Modest Mouse (2) Tegan and Sara (2) Royal Blood Frank Turner (2) Mastodon Eagles of Death Metal (2) Biffy Clyro The Kills (2) Dead Weather Jack White (2) Noel Gallagher (2) Mudcrutch Ray LaMontagne MGMT Band of Horses (2) Kurt Vile My Morning Jacket (2) The Killers (2) Wye Oak (2) Afghan Whigs First Aid Kit Sharen Van Etten Lykke Li White Denim Soundgarden Chris Cornell Buffalo Tom Band of Skulls Avett Brothers Shovels and Rope Gov't Mule Brandon Flowers Death Cab for Cutie Frightened Rabbit Foo Fighters (2) Social Distortion Mumford and Sons Kings of Leon (2) The Walkmen Wolfmother Glasvegas Soulsavers Them Crooked Vultures Airborne Toxic Event Against Me Gutter Twins Duke Spirit Smashing Pumpkins Explosions In The Sky Tool The Twilight Singers Metallica Alice In Chains

That's awesome. I'm glad you enjoyed my list.
I completely agree. I did a strange thing this year. Many of my favourites are touring this year. Metallica, Tom Petty, GNR, Tool etc.. All bands I've seen a number of times. At the beginning of the year I made a conscious decision to try and save my money to see the last couple of bands/artists I haven't seen yet (given their shows are expensive). For me it was Elton John and the Rolling Stones. I had amazing luck as Elton John did a show here in Victoria. I didn't even have to travel! The Stones are really my sole target now.
I think the last time they played here was '06 but I'd just moved to Edmonton so I couldn't go. I looked up their touring patterns and it looks very Pearl Jam esque. They play a handful of shows most years, but no big tours. Given that it's been 11 years, I'm hoping Vancouver or Seattle are due for a show.
Pink Floyd Duran Duran KISS Judas Priest The Tragically Hip Spirit of the West Ziggy Marley Midnight Oil The Killers Pearl Jam RNDM Mark Lanegan Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Phish Mike Watt and the Minutemen Mudhoney Soundgarden Chris Cornell Matthew Good Band Sam Roberts Band Dave Matthews Band (not good) Teegan and Sara (awful) The National Hot Hot Heat Rheostatics Blues Traveler Hoge Frightened Rabbit AFI U2 Modest Mouse Mumford & Sons (yuck) My Chemical Romance Marilyn Manson Alt-J Neil Young Jack White Tom Petty Ben Folds The Tea Party Glen Hansard Ryan Adams Beck Blitzen Trapper San Fermin

QOTSA
All Them Witches
....... I dunno, that's all I can remember. It might be all of them, but I'm probably forgetting a few.

there is no way that I can remember every band that I have seen.
starting going to shows in 1994 so............. fuck me. there have been a lot.
Yeah, some good memories is right.
1994? I started seeing shows in 1978, and i do remember, believe it or not, waking up the next afternoon and ONLY remembering about 3 or 4 songs from the night before>LOL>Oh, the good old parting days. The only way i "remember" some concerts is because i have most of my ticket stubs. Even when i look at some of the stubs i'll say: "I was at that show.">LOL

Ones I'm slightly embarrassed to have seen:
Creed (they were at edgefest '98
Nickelback (friend of a friend drummed for them before they got big, seen a few of the early shows)
Limp Bizkit (They performed at Wrestlemania in Seattle...
I wanted to see it but was to young :(
Damn, I am getting old!
