I've checked the Stones website often the day before and day of for previous shows, but the $85 link never seems to go live, and then by 7:01 all the ticket links dissappear and a sold out link appears. Has anyone here scored the $85 tix on the day before or day of the show? Were you emailed a link or did you just happen to hit the Stone's website at the right time.

For the first L.A. show, the $85 ticket link went live at a random time the day before the show.
In some cities, they are reducing the prices on many seat locations, so this this may lessen the chance of addtl $85 tix becoming available.
Good luck!0 -

Western Australia Cricket Ground - Perth, Australia - February 24th 1973 - Final Leg Of Exile Tour
I especially love where they break it down around 3:18, and then Jagger goes "C'mon" and Richards/Taylor start tearing it up on cue. This song is the reason I wished "Back Strap Jacket" had been one of the official bootlegs."See a broad to get dat booty yak 'em, leg 'er down, a smack 'em yak 'em!"0 -
Been rumored it Carrie Underwood as tonight's special guest in Toronto tonight.I have certain rules I live by ... My First Rule ... I don't believe anything the government tells me ... George Carlin

Not a fan of the choice, but from what I hear she can sing. And she probably can't do any worse than Gwen. From what I read she's going to be doing Gimme Shelter. Not a very good choice. They seem to be putting these guest in the strangest places. Like the show with Gwen, they had her and Keith Urban, a country singer. They put him on the rocker and Gwen on the country song. Now they have another country singer, and they're apparently putting her on Gimme Shelter. Meanwhile Taylor's sitting backstage, and he's the one man that can elevate that song above and beyond. Not to Mention Lisa standing over there, who sings it better than most anybody."See a broad to get dat booty yak 'em, leg 'er down, a smack 'em yak 'em!"0 -
Great concert at the ACC in Toronto. Carrie Underwood sang on Its Only Rock 'n' Roll.
The evening didn't start out so well ... Had the worst seats imaginable ... Beside the stage, very obstructed view and probably would have only seen 1/2 the stage, very bad seats. So we had 90 minutes or so before the show so we went to get a drink and watch the rangers vs bruins game and ponder the shitty seats. So we go back to our seats about 8:30 and line was forming at a table near the entrance and they upgraded everyone in that section to the $600 seats (or so we were told by people in our new section) ... and the new section was just perfect.
As for the concert ... The stones can still rock ... Really no complaints ...I have certain rules I live by ... My First Rule ... I don't believe anything the government tells me ... George Carlin

Thank you ... 70 hard to believe, eh ... And the most amazing thing is they are not a stationary band ... Mick, Keith and Ronnie love to strut around the stage ... especially Mick. I feel fortunate, this was my fifth stones show and first stones show in an arena. Glad I went, very appreciative of the upgrade and very fortunate to get the $85 seats. The will call did work as instructed, once you received your tickets you enter the arena ... all in all got through the line in 30 minutes or so, so it was efficient.
Good selection of merchandise, they had the sports themed shirts, plus a red Canadian theme shirt and the standard black themed.
Good night ... Anyone going to future shows should enjoy.I have certain rules I live by ... My First Rule ... I don't believe anything the government tells me ... George Carlin

Looks like a pretty good setlist for Toronto. Not really a lot of surprises, but pretty solid if you ask me. Angie and Street Fighting Man aren't obscure by any means, but not extremely common live in recent years. Angie hasn't been played since the last tour, and aside from Echoplex, SFM hasn't been played since the Licks tour. Emotional Rescue seems to be the official rarity of the tour, so it's becoming less of a surprise, but unless you've been to one of the other shows, a rarity all the same. You Got The Silver in Keith's set is nice, he's played it a few times already, but it's better than just Happy and Before They Make Me Run every night. He still did Happy though, but I think Keith kind of has to do that one. A little sad to see Taylor go back to playing just Midnight Rambler and Satisfaction after getting 4 songs (including Sway and CYHMK) in LA."See a broad to get dat booty yak 'em, leg 'er down, a smack 'em yak 'em!"0

Just wanted to chime in that I saw the show in LA and is was freakin' awesome.
Those guys can still rock.
Saw a stadium tour in 1994 and thought it sucked, but my seats were so bad, it was almost like being outside.
2nd show was awesome in 1998 or so, and this one was perhaps the best of the three.0 -

No! I litreally sat there for three hours refreshing and checking for price drops on TM. They kept dropping the price to $166 but when you would get to checkout the price would jump to $466 per ticket. So just when you thought you had a good pair of seats for $370, they kick you in the nuts at checkout with a $933 price tag. Pretty shady and underhanded if you ask me. They were basically trying to fool people into beleiving they were about to get a great deal, and I assume hoping people would not see the price increase at the checkout stage. As I said shady and underhanded. In the end there were still alot of unsold $624 tix in the lower bowl. The only positive thing I can say is that they upgraded people to some of those epmty seats.

I'll be trying again for Montreal in a few weeks. I have a feeling there will be a better chance of $85 tix actually being released in Montreal as ticket sales have been really slow there.

We were upgraded ... good thing to, the seats we were assigned were probably the worst in the house.I have certain rules I live by ... My First Rule ... I don't believe anything the government tells me ... George Carlin

Can't stop playing Some Girls and Sticky Fingers since Vegas.
I entertain something else for the family's sake for a song or two... then I shift back to the soothing sounds of the Stones. It's like I have been sent back in time- enjoying the music with as much vigour as I used to in my late teens and early 20s."My brain's a good brain!"0 -

Last night's set in Chicago
1- Get Off of My Cloud
2 - IORR
3 - Paint it Black
4 - Gimme Shelter
5 - Wild Horses
6 - Rocks Off
7 - Emotional Rescue
8 - Six Day on the Road w/ Taj Mahal
9 - Doom and Gloom
10 - Honky Tonk Women
11 - You Got the Silver
12 - Before They Make me Run
13 - Midnight Rambler w/ Mick Taylor
14 - Miss You
15 - Start Me Up
16 - Tumbling Dice
17 - Brown Sugar
18 - Sympathy for the Devil
19 - YCAGWYW
20 - JJF
21 - Satisfaction
Lots of complaining about the length of the set on IORR. I'm more annoyed with the Mick Taylor situation than I am the length of the set. It's not even the middle of the tour yet (if you can believe that) and they've got 13 some shows to go. Let's hope it doesn't become a trend (dropping songs), but I'm willing to give them a pass for one night, especially with a better guest than the others (Taj Mahal).
I suppose that opinion may change if the reviews indicate that the show sucked overall. But if they're great for 21 or great for 23 songs...who's counting?1998-06-30 Minneapolis

I haven't been to IORR in a day or two, and I wasn't at the show so I don't know, but setlist.fm says Taylor came back out for Satisfaction. Did he, or was it just one song?"See a broad to get dat booty yak 'em, leg 'er down, a smack 'em yak 'em!"0
