DVD? DVD? Maybe a DVD? DVD of this show? I think if they release a DVD of the tour, then this show should be it. A DVD would be good for the Kitchener show.
(just trying to plant the seed)
That is a brilliant idea! A DVD Video of the Kitchener show would top sliced bread as the best thing created since sliced bread. I'm loving this bootleg, and the adrenaline I still feel off the show last night. A Pearl Jam DVD of the show in my home town...words cannot describe....

SK f'n rocked! much of the around me (rt side of stage) didn't wasrm up to them. but the clubbers on the floor with 2-3 songs in seemed to get into "the kinney". those chicks could kick some ass no matter how LOUD corin's voice gets!PJVITALOGY wrote:how were Sleater Kinney?

The meetup before hand was a lot of fun. It was nice to finally meet a lot of you (PBM, ACCGoddess, Foxymop, Tekno, K*Rock, Idratherbe) and everyone else I'm forgetting.
For awhile I wasn't sure what I thought of the set - but I guess it was around Faithful that I really started to realize how awesome the show was. I'm not sure I've ever seen a show with fans as into it as the fans in Kitchener last night. Vancouver was loud, but Kitchener was much louder! What an awesome little venue that was - the band was on fire and the crowd interaction was great!
It was awesome to see that Mike got the card that was signed by everyone at the Rum Runner!
Thanks again to PBM for organizing the CCFC setups - and thanks to everyone I met last night for making it a very memorable show.0 -
Got back from my first Pearl Jam show today. What an absolute excellent time I had. was hoping for a little older setlist and boy did I get it: Indifference,Animal,Corduroy,Daughter,Alive, amazing version of Black that lasted forever. You guys are right on with Rival-Blood back to back that totally kicked my ass. Eddie looked like he was pumped up big time for this show. and to top it all off Ledbetter. GREAT GREAT SHOW, I know some setlists probably look better but this was a great one to start with for me. Kitchner and the people there were also cool. Thanks 10 club and Pearl Jam for a great time.walk the bridges,.......before you burn them down0

There arent enought words to describe what lastnight was like. The band was on fire, the energy from the crowd was unbelieveable and it was hot as fuck inside The Aud. Ive been to many events inside that building and to look around and see every single seat filled was just awesome. Im glad the band was in to it so much. Only downside was the fucker who was in my row that didnt belong. He was supposed to be in the row behind us but wouldnt get the out. I was basically standing behind my girlfriend most of the show but oh well that didnt stop me from having the most fun Ive ever had at a show. I really thought the guys were done after Baba but we didnt let them leave and they played YL to close out the night. Thanks for a great night, hope to see you again. Please please come back and play The Aud next time around.
Thank you very much from the bottom of MY heart.0 -
oh my god what a blast. My first time to hear Faithfull, got Indifference, Blood which is one of my most favorites, and it was just a blitzkrieg of roaring sound, and I don't think they could have rocked any harder on it. This was one of the shows where they had to play YL or people wouldn't believe it was over. The lights started slowly coming on during Baba, and by the end of it they were fully on. They played a long time - it was around 11:30 when it ended, so I guess there was a later curfew - good for us! I was not in 10 club seats as I added this show later, and was alone on this one, though I'll have a companion on the next 4 - I was in section 5, basically facing the stage from behind the floor seats, and had a first - in front of me, and beside me, everyone stayed sitting down!! (and then a couple rows left before Baba) I've never been in a section where this occurred before, but I'm usually in 10 club seats. Fortunately no seemed to mind if I rocked out....and the next section across the aisle was good and loud.
So my visibility wasn't up close, and I enjoyed reading others' views of some of the details I couldn't see. But high points for me - Blood, definitely, Gimme Some Truth, oh heck, the whole show was a high point, from start to finish. Nice to hear Long Road as opener, in light of current events. Loved the WMA/etc. tag after daughter....Started tearing up as MOTH was dedicated to Johnny Ramone.... Thank you Pearl Jam for another awesome show.R.i.p. Rigoberto Alpizar.

I have been a forever long PJ fan and normally a lurker on the moving train, and despite all the politics that usually gets my blood moving, this is the first time I have felt absolutely compelled to respond/write something. This was my first PJ concert ever live, I went with my husband and two 23 year old guy friends (all of whom have been to many many live concerts) And we all left... I don't even know what to say that can convey the emotions, experience that we all had. It was just absolutely amazing, we all left in awe, and for my two cents I just wanted to thank the band AND THE CROWD for giving us such an incredible experience that we'll never forget!! I can only imagine how stupid this sounds to all of you lucky people who get to PJ concerts all of the time but... I just wanted to say THANK-YOU!!! Thank-you for an experience that I'll never forget!0

a extremely political show... don't forget... it was...youknowwe don't want war, but we still want more?0

Who here is sick of Matt and Boom bumbling through a machanical new version of In My Tree? Dang it they frickin' kill that song...it hasn't even been very respectable since 2000 when they did the old version...and hasn't been great since Australia 98. The way they play it now makes it sound like some cover band trying to jam it out. It's lost it's power. Matt can't handle the rhythm's and he knows it, he was hesitant to play it at first, anyways. He should have insisted on not playing it and let it die and honorable death like Who You Are. Could it be I feel this way as it's my favorite damn PJ song? Hell yes...I miss Jack. (Yeah, I know they played with him and it was the New Version then, but I can forgive Jack for that...) And ffs, what's with the acoustic on it now? It kind of just ruins the timbre of the guitars, the sound they used to get with the effects was unreal, that acoustic has to go.0

Im a full 2 sleeps seperated from this show. I'm still getting chills down my spine reading other peoples experiences. I got more chills while listening to the bootleg (Given to Fly does this to me!!). I'm still on cloud 9, I hope I never come down...not until they come back to Kitchener...Hear that Pearl Jam!?!? I'm going to hold my breath until you come back to Kitchener!
Mikes acknowledgment of the CCFC Thank You card just topped everything off.
Is there a singular meeting place for people to post pictures they managed to get? I was an idiot and didnt bring a camera. That is my only regret, and I can live with that one

I know what you are saying. When I read this thread and everyone's memories and thoughts of the show it brings up so many things for me to remember. I forgot my camera too!!
I read in the London thread that the Kitchener show was better.....SWEET! Even though I would have loved to go to the London show but I couldn't get any tickets.
Can't say this enough....Awesome show!!0 -

Right on! I don't know what it is about this band exactly (yeah they are F'n awesome) but they're shows are like a drug that will keep you high for weeks while you are just begging for another show, single, or album, and another fix. I took my fiance who has only been to one other concert in his life and he said...that other concert was a show but this was pure artistry. I think he nailed it.0 -
i think for this reason - a lot of the shows are gonna have many of the same tunes ...[/quote]
I dunno, I think that after playing a set list like they did in Kitchener with the rocking 28 tunes we got... and then hearing another 26 in London the next nite, only to hear 8 dups was pretty freaking great...and of course they're mostly the classics (Corduroy, Animal, In my Tree, Betterman, Jeremy, Eflow, Alive and Small town) which everyone enjoys regardless of how many times we hear them... wicked tour so far!!!"Push me and I will resist"0 -

I couldn't disagree more. They have taken this song to a couple different levels. I have not heard the boot yet but what I remember from the show was the inclusion of the "album" style ending drums that was missing from MSG and other versions. Matt Cameron is a fucking "Stallion" as Eddie says.....what a drummer!!!!!0
