After the show someone was telling me that Ed's friend who was getting married is former PJ drummer Jack Irons. Anyone know if this is true?

I finally have a webpage setup for Hamilton. The images are compressed which is why they are grainy. I have all images full sized if anyone wants any.

  • Harvest Moon here too. Mannnnnnnnnnnnnnn! I love THAT SONG! How good was it? Too bad Neil didn't show.

I was half wondering the same thing myself. ??
  • Our Hamilton "Rats" banner made the official website. Sweet! I feel like scurrying about, gnawing, etc.

It shall fly again in T.O.

  • Was "Lukin" anyone else's highlight of the Hamilton show? It totally blew me away when they played it after "Daughter".

Amazing show!!! Only my second time seeing them live (the first being at the Molson Amphitheatre a couple years back)..... Such a high-energy crowd, the band was awesome as usual, and the setlist rocked! My highlights were probably Indifference and Present Tense, those songs killed me they were so good....and Harvest Moon was a nice treat too! A perfect mix of heavy and mellow songs.

Thanks for an amazing show, please come back to Hamilton next time you're on tour! :)
~ It makes much more sense, to live in the present tense ~
  • Hey "Buffalo" - you said your favorite show was Buffalo '96. Then you said you hope to cross "Rats" off your list....they played "Rats" at that Buffalo show. Cross it off man.

I, too was trying to figure that out. Didn't see anything that funny going on up there.. must've been someone in the crowd maybe?

I was sitting 4th row center... EV put the 'Vedder' belt on and sort of smiled and snickered. At this point I gave him a thumbs up and made some stupid face as he was looking at me and he lost it. It was fucking hilarious!

Thanks! I had a little digital with me. I would've gotten more and better quality shots if the jackoff next to me wasn't elbowing me in the face 3/4 of the time.

  • Hey all,

I've been away from the board for a week or so cause of a concert spree. I'd just like to say hamilton is the greatest concert I will ever see. It was so insane, I was so happy I almost cried at one point. It was crazy, it was like being the happiest I've ever been in 1 moment, but for 3 hours straight. It was so wicked. Also my first time being on the floor, which was special.

Harvest Moon was insane obviously, and made me lose it. best black I've ever seen, best black I've heard aside from MTV unplugged black. Best RITFW I've ever witnessed, Sleater kinney was great. I hated and now like this band. The tag on betterman was amazing. I was screaming it out like a maniac cause thats my favorite SK song. I was the only one around me singing it :)

Yellow ledbetter was nice, cause I was staring at mike the entire time (cause he gives it away, I saw him grab the strat well everyone was looking at Ed and I started to scream like an idiot :) My GF looked at me like I was crazy because mike was way over at the side and people couldn't see him yet and I was screaming as if Neil Young had just walked on stage.

    EDIT**CONTINUED

so yah it was just a crazy night that left me feeling amazing. Kitchener ruled, London was fun but objectively speaking not in the same league as otehr shows I've seen, Hamilton, for me, was mind blowing.

If I were to rank the shows I've seen It would go like this:

    Hamilton 05
    Toronto 03
    Kitchener 05
    Boston VFC 1
    London 05
    White stripes Toronto 05
    Jack Johnson Toronto 05
    Broken Social Scene Guelph 05
    Foo fighters Toronto 05
    SarsStock

Now I loved the foo fighters concert. They were very good live and put on a good show. The Foos are close to the shows ahead of them. Sars stock is the only one way down there. It was fun but it was a big effort to have that fun. So anyway those are some great concerts and Hamilton tops my list. Heres hoping Toronto 05 will be up there with hamilton and Toronto 03!! :)
I miss you already, I miss you always

I've been baggin' on the Toronto show so much that I had to say something positive about this great band we love.
Hamilton might be the best show I've ever seen them play. The mood in the building was just... undescribable. I never would have imagined Hamilton would be the place I witnessed one of those nights us Pearl Jam fans dream of.
"Sad" is my favourite Lost Dogs song and to hear them play it live was amazing.
Harvest Moon was really special. It was my wife and I's first song at our own wedding three years ago so it was just that much more special. Eddie really sings it in a sweet high voice. He's known for his baritone but he has far more range than anyone gives him credit for.
I know a lot of people might not like Sleater-Kinney but they are my second favourite band in the universe and seeing the two onstage together for Rockin' in the Free World was amazing. The mood was one of close friends throwing a great party. Did you catch Stone going nuts on his guitar at the end???!!! Incredible!!!
I now wish they would play Copp's every tour.

    very cool show people!
y la banda de Guille... cuando toca?
  • Best concert I have ever been too, Thank you so much PJ.

Sidenote: My friend and me somehow successfully snuck on to the floor near the end of the SK set. We were so pumped that we would have great seats for the show, until some idiot who also snuck on sat beside us. I know we shouldn't have snuck on but we would have moved from the seats whenever the ticket holder of them came. So this guy sits beside us and starts talking to us for a bit then tells us he snuck on the floor. The only problem was he kept on looking around being all paranoid and shit. So of course security comes over just before PJ take the stage and ask to see his wristband. He ignores the guy and looks at me so in the end all of us got the boot.

No offense but sneaking around isn't cool. It pisses me off each and every time some jackass tries this and is obnoxious. Maybe you weren't going to be obnoxious but most people that try this are. I also love it when these people are removed and get pissed at security. Yes, blame security for your crime.

well i could honestly say when i was younger. i would hop fences ,an try to hop down to the floor level ....maybe thats something you just have to go through i guess....i am not saying your an idiot....as long as your not being an asshole on the floor an being respectful ...i have no prbs.....just remember sometimes they kick you out an you cant get back in ....is it worth it

I have been reliving the Canadian tour this weekend (in my mind). I just drank my last Rickard's Honey Brown that I brought home.

Oh my! Don't do that. Think of the future tours you would miss! Or worse -your clone could pose as you and get your 10c tickets! Then you would miss the tours and be really, really pissed.

P.S. I really liked that Rickards.

I know some people had asked if it was Jack Irons, but I'm quite sure it wasn't. Ed said he had known this Jack since they were young - that they had practically grown up together. I don't think that was Jack Irons. Plus, as far as I know Jack Irons is older and was married a long time ago, although this could be a subsequent marriage. The Jack that Ed mentioned was marrying Jen.
