  • awesome show.. really enjoyed it was my first PJ show. Wish i never sold my molson amp. tickets last summer.

Great set list but was really disappointed that they didnt play even flow. This is one my fav. songs wish i could of saw it live.

Oh my god, I loved that molson amp show soo much more (no offence). I don't like coliseums in general I think.

But it was a good show nonetheless. If anything you got to see eddie fall a couple of times and also tell him he's an asshole. AHAhaha.

    I kid.

I had a pink book. Did 129 give it too early .Did Mr Vedder recieve it in Hamilton. Does anyone up close at the Hamilton show recall seeing ed with a pinkish book at the end of the show.?

I'll write about the pink book in the London thread. JJD
  • hey man, are you the super tall dude who sat right in front of me and my wife at both the london and hamilton shows? I think you also went to the Thunder Bay show? Anyway, my wife kept saying..."man, he's getting some really good pictures, you should ask him for his email address." Well, thanks for taking such good pictures and sharing them with everyone. Very cool of you.

Yeah that was me. I met some great people over the few shows we went to, it was a great time. I only wish I would have gotten some pictures of all the people I met at the shows as well... Guess I'll put that in the notes for the next tour.

This show was BAD ASS. My friend from work and I drove up Tues. right after working 12hr. night shift. Got to Hamilton around 2PM and checked into the Sheraton, which was fucking great because it was just around the corner from Copps. I was hoping for wing seats and I got them with my 224xxx 10c #. Had I nice clear view of the stage on Mike's side. The show seemed to go on forever! This was my sixth show and it was hands down the best! It was my friends first PJ show and he loved it! I think he's been fully converted. Finally got to participate in a call and respond daughter tag! I've been wishing for that ever since I heard Milan '00. The band is definately playing with more passion than the last couple tours. What the hell are they giving Matt?! He's a fucking animal these days! And Ed seems to be putting more into his singing. They played 6 nights out of the week and he sounded great! Great show. Also, I advise anyone with seats that aren't really close to the stage to bring binoculars. It was so powerful seeing the expression on Ed's face when he was knelt down in front of Mike during Black. This image will be forever etched in my mind. Thank you Pearl Jam

Nobody was booing the keyboardist. His name is "Boom" Gasper. They were yelling BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM.
  • Hamilton was a great show. I'm not sure how many of you have been to other concerts that you can compare them too, but I have. I've seen Led Zeppelin, Stones, Who, Floyd, Black Sabbath, and the list could go on. I'll tell you one thing Pearl Jam is the only band that came out in the nineties that can be listed with the above mentioned bands as one of the best shows I've ever seen.

It was 2.5 hours of raw energy and high powered rock n roll. Harvest Moon was a surprise and a highlight of the show. You people who left before the encores were over are idiots. I hate people who always leave shows early. Like they are going to beat all the traffic or something. Fuck the traffic - stay for the rock n roll.

I went through my pictures from the show and I did find one shot I took of that moment, its a little blurry but you can definately make it out. I posted it with the other Hamilton pics. Just search for the "Last Uploads" and you should find it. Here is a link:

  • Polaris-thats friggin funny-I hate when shit like that happens to me-hehe
I suggest we step out, on the porch
  • On twofeetthick.com in the notes for the show they say that 5 sections of the upper level were curtained off; I realize the show wasn't completely sold out but overall it looked pretty full to me.

Are they referring to the upper level seats behind the stage?

Holy hell hamilton, stand up!!!!!! rock! Aren't you guys called Steeltown? as in Heavy Metal??? I have seen more excitement and cheering watching tennis on tv than what I saw from a lot of the folks in the stands. I'm not going to comment on the floor, cause watching from the middle of the floor makes it hard to see, etc.

A ROCK CONCERT IS NOT TV...get off yer asses!

One big exception: the awesome fellow in the very front row, near the centre, a bit closer to Jeff's side. The guy who was a bit overweight but I swear he lost 10 pounds from rocking his heart out from the first Sleater-Kinney song to the last Pearl jam song. This guy did NOT stop. You sir...are awesome. I was hoping Ed was going to "I propose a toast..." just for you.

    A very awesome setlist/show btw.

lol...some people did not even stay for the first encore. that was sad. I can't think of any justifiable reason to leave a PJ show before they start tearing down the stage.

I AM IN COMPLETE AND UTTER DISBELIEF HOW KERENSA DID NOT GET A PICTURE OF THIS. Or maybe she did, but they didn't put it with the boot. This scene was clearly something that every die hard Pearl Jam fan needs to see.

  • This show was amazing, I've been to a whack of PJ shows before and this one definatley stands out. From the begining of the Encores on was amazing... and everything before that too...
  • Being a fan of Pearl Jam almost since before conscious memory, this concert was quite possibly the most exciting, amazing experience I have ever had watching a band perform.

It had extra special meaning to me, because all those years ago, when I was a youngster, I bought Ten on the very first trip me and my cousin were allowed to take to downtown Hamilton by ourselves. So, seeing Pearl Jam for the first time ever right there in the same spot my love for them was born, was like coming full circle as a fan.

Me and my girlfriend were very close to the stage, 2nd row up on Mike's side, and unless my eyes were decieving me, it seemed he was checking out my girlfriend a couple of times. She swears that Eddie smiled at us too, he looked at us as we were arm in arm and singing our hearts out during Jeremy.

The absolute highlight was that right after playing KEEP ON ROCKIN' IN THE FREE WORLD, Mike threw a handful of picks, and one of them came right in our direction. There are marks on it that give me the impression he used that pick to play RITFW, which may be unlikely, but thinking that is a possibility, is one of the most exciting things I have ever experienced. So whether that is the truth or not, I will always keep that pick, it is now framed with my ticket, and that absolutely awesome pic someone posted on here of Eddie holding up the Canadian flag.

To all the Pearl Jam fans out there, we all shared such an amazing experience, whether it was the first time like me, or the 300th, PJ concerts really ARE a religious experience, and I am so grateful I finally got be a part of it.

To Pearl Jam, if you ever read this. Thank you SO SO much, for your music, which truly has been the soundtrack to my life, and for this concert, which is a night I will never forget as long as I live.

And thank you for playing Yellow Ledbetter :D After RITFW, I thought perhaps you guys would bypass YLB but as soon as I heard that riff, I knew that you're devotion to your fans is unparallelled. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  • Hamilton was my 3rd PJ show and my 2nd of the canadian
    tour
i will say i enjoyed the rarites in London but the crowd in steel town blew them out of the water

    Hamilton Highlites

Porch opener ( loved the slow intro)
    Sad then right into U
    Present Tense
    Untitled/MFC
Harvest Moon ( chief'd the B.C. smoke for that tune)
Indifferance ( didn't think that was comin)
  • What was Eddie laughing at during Yellow Ledbetter?
  • The crowd was great and the only seats that were empty were the top top ones behind the stage which were blacked out. Ed even thanked the crowd all the way up for filling in all the seats at the top.
  • What was Eddie laughing at during Yellow Ledbetter?

I, too was trying to figure that out. Didn't see anything that funny going on up there.. must've been someone in the crowd maybe?
  • I'd really like to say that I think this show eclipses Buffalo '96. Maybe I am crazy. Maybe I haven't given enough time for everything to sink in. Maybe someone can help me out...

Was anyone else in serious withdrawl last night or is that a rhetorical question??
