Ok. First of all I flew over 7,000 miles roundtrip to see this show. PJ has been there for me since I was young. I made sure to be careful when I hid the 1/2 oz. of Shrooms I brought on the plane. We camped next to 2 real cool sisters named Andrea and Kate I think. Took the Shrooms about 6:15 and were totally tripping once in the 5th row. PJ came out and were their normal humble selves. I honestly believe they have something no other music group has and that is without question... They were the best they have ever been!! Honestly its my 13th time seeing them. I have seen them in their early years, in Australia 3 times and in Michigan many times. I tell you that this was the pinnacle of their time as musicians. I don't know if anyone caught it, but Eddie admitted to tripping when he forgot the words to one of the songs. Every mistake made in lyrical rememberance, was totally made up for by energy, sincerity and more than anything else... love. The band showed how much they stick together by tearing up almost every time Ed was trippin a bit too hard.
Picture it... Sun going down over the Cascades, 7:30, Hard to Imagine at dusk, tripping on shrooms, Ed trippin on shrooms which probably means PJ itself was trippin, people just like you who feel the words as you do, and Mary rising up above it all. Shit it damn near makes me cry!
Thanks for all the memories and for one of the most lucid and coherent nights of my life. I think I saw God in that crowd and in that band. Did you see it too? Here's to changing tihis world!

I HAVE to say it. I had every intention of going to the Gorge, but it just didn't happen (I only made it to Van).
BIG HUGE GIANT MISTAKE!!!
Come to find out...one of my all-time FAVORITE songs was performed. The one song I have been hoping they'll play since Lost Dogs came out. This song I listen to on repeat at work..much to the displeasure of a certain co-worker of mine. This song, however, is best listened to cruising up the PCH, ocean front.
I'm not even going to post the name of the song...we all know what it is. I need to fricken d/l Gorge, damnit...
Oh well, everything happens for a reason right?!

Yes it certainly did! We all had a great time!

Finally have a chance to post after coming back to Boston from Seattle/Vancouver. About the bus, thanks Kaddidat for everything. Thanks Mike (allnitething) and jennifer for Vancouver ticket. and of course josh and jen for the ride.
everyone on the bus fucking rocked, and i cant wait to meet up with all of you again at shows soon. youre all amazing. you best all be making the trip to Boston when the guys head up this way...
Yea that was awesome! I was standing 2nd row center when he came out, rocking out to the Supersuckers. Was very surprised and very happy to see Ed. :-)
Rose
Yeah I was on the end of Row 3 but moved over to the center when he came out. Had my blue M's hat on. That got me so fucking pumped! Anyone else get the feeling the energy level jumped a few hundred percent after that?
I will hold the candle till it burns up my arm
Oh, I'll keep takin' punches until their will grows tired
I will stare the sun down until my eyes go blind
Hey, I won't change direction, and I won't change my mind
The Gorge was amazing and by far the longest PJ show I have ever seen....3:10 or so I guess. I haven't listened to the MP3 (to hear in a completely sober manor) yet, just about to download it tonight (just got back from Seattle last night) but it was awsome and was the best show I had seen in years..... Vancouver kicked ASS! I have not seen Ed with that much energy or the band with that much perfection since 1998! Vancouver goes down in my book as the 2nd best show I have ever seen. Who els was on the floor early enough to see Eddie play with the Supersuckers in that spaceman suit? That was an unreal surprize!
I don't think anyone has posted pics of Ed's suit at Vancouver, so here are mine. Thanks to WildChildRose for convincing us to grab that unused real estate in second row center :-)
this show was just unfuckingbelievable!!! to be in such a landscape, listening to the greatest band there is, sharing it with a friend........priceless.
I HAVE to say it. I had every intention of going to the Gorge, but it just didn't happen (I only made it to Van).

How did that happen!?!? You were already there but didn't go?!? I'm confused here... truely. What were you thinking!?
Me TOO!!! I can't get over how incredible the show was....I am so happy I was there to witness this show.....and to be at the show so far being voted the best bootleg from us fans.....it really was a magical show. I am at work right now and I think I will crank up the Winamp player and play me some Gorge!!!!
I think "I Am Mine" at the Gorge is the BEST I have ever heard it live. I LOVE the way Ed sings it....he defintely adds a little more to a few parts and it sounds GREAT!

Hehe... yea me too. Working on that happening in the near future... my roots are a callin... time to go "home." Born but not raised in Washington... sniffle, what were my parents thinking!?

Meredith, Meridith. I wish you would have been at the Gorge too. It almost ruined Vancouver for me, as I took 2 huge steps backwards into the cold that was wrecking me the next day. Thankfully, the energy at Vancouver kept me upright despite how lousy I felt. However, I would have done it again many times over for that little piece of heaven. I am so thankful I had that day to experience- Language is insufficient to describe it! However, I am still somewhat skeptical that Animal exists, since I was asking around for him on the floor in Vancouver. Didn't I ask you too? And now it sounds like he was sitting right next to you or something? I'm all for imaginary friends, but-

LMAO!!!!! Matt...you never fail to crack me up!!
You seemed to be feeling fine in Vancouver (unfortunately your other-half didn't seem to be)! Yup, I missed out on Undone. That's life, right?! Oh well, I will go and play it RIGHT NOW (and piss off my co-worker).
Yes, Mr. Matt, that animal guy exists. He was jumping around in front of us in Vancouver. Sweat flying all over the place. If you need proof...I can confirm what he was wearing.
*aNiMaL don't listen to this part*
NOTE: He's just a guy ... not like it was Henry Rollins or Samuel L. Jackson
P.S. Say hi to Jennifer for me!

That's funny, because after a few beers at Yaletown, you described your imaginary friend as having the body of Henry Rollins and a face that is a cross between Samuel L Jackson and Queen Elizabeth. Hmm, very interesting.
I felt horrible that night too, but the anticipation kept me up and once inside the venue, the energy from a lot of great people like yourself carried me through. Thanks for the hugs, those helped a lot too.
Also, I too can describe what my imaginary friend was wearing that night!

I'm just a guy!?!?!?!? I guess that is an accurate description. And I was jumping and sweating a lot (hella good energy in that place)! But, what was I wearing? I don't remember....much past a t-shirt and shorts.

"hella"??? WTF? Are you from Nor Cal now?
P.S. I made a mental note of what you were wearing in case I would need it for identification verification at a later date.

I think Kat already answered this. There was a problem with the recording of this one song and it was lost. So unfor it's gone. Sucks.

I'm your nr.5 (blue shirt with a monkey on it).Nice almost meeting you.
WOW! Sorry that I'm socially inept!
That was a very cool thing you did!
