Game 1 tonight. Stalberg is a healthy scratch....not really sure what type of message Q is trying to send with this move. Hawks in 5.

    Bolland's better, that's the message.

That's debatable. Bolland had a pretty shitty year and isn't great at faceoffs. But Carcillo will dress over Stalberg??? :fp:

Carcillo blows and doesn't do jack!! He looks totally lost out there.....that being said, really wanted to go to Game #4 in Detroit but nosebleeds started at $70/ticket! :x Might hold out to game day to represent.....

That makes absolutely NO sense whatsoever!
Even if the Wings come out and play physical, I'd take Stalberg over Carcillo any damn day!

I love how the first game he dressed in the playoffs. The first game....comes in and within 10 seconds has a penalty. :fp:
    F Carcillo!

Yep, he's pretty much useless. Especially against a team like Detroit that isn't a very physical team.

According to some Hawks beat writers on twitter, Stalberg questioned his role on the power play and that's why he is being benched. I don't give a fuck what he said or did, it's the playoffs. You don't play Carcillo over Stalberg.

I agree Stalberg should be out there more than Carcillo, however the Hawks did need a little more toughness in the series against MN. Remember game 3? They got their asses kicked around the ice. I'm guessing this is why Carcillo is out there, but we'll see what happens after tonight. I like to hope Q knows a little more than us in how he decides who's starting, and it's not just a punishment to Stalberg.

This is obviously a punishment to Stalberg. He's not one of those guys that you wonder if they will be dressed or not. Besides injuries, he played every game this season.

Nice start last night. Detroit's D isn't deep enough to keep up with the Hawks forwards.

That was awful on Saturday. Hopefully they can win one in Detroit. And what a shocker...Stalberg will be back in the lineup today.

    Did they scratch Carcillo?

Sounds like it is Handzus that will be scratched and Bolland back to 2nd line center. Stalberg back to the 3rd line w/ Bickell and Shaw that Q never should have messed around with.

Actually, it looks like it is Carcillo that will be scratched.

Tough one last night. Hit 3 posts. Brutal call on that "goalie interference". But the Hawks prob got away with one with that hit on Franzen that led to Kane's goal so I guess it evens out. And what the fuck is with this power play??? Also, anytime Toews wants to show up for the playoffs would be fine with me. He has something like 3 goals in his last 30 playoff games. It's time for the captain to step up.

I thought Toews had a decent game, some shots on goal, and a lot of battling in front of the goalie to get the puck. The defense looked shaky at best last night. I'd bitch about the no goal call, but this is not a Redwings thread. :nono:

Toews did have a decent game Monday, but he has to start scoring goals. Plain and simple. 3 goals in the last 30 playoff games just isn't good enough.

HUGE game tonight...I think the Hawks come out flying and take an early lead.
