thats a sign in any society that the system is broken... not to mention a sad indictment on that society. i dont think there is one system of government that isnt dysfunctional.hear my name

there you go then.. prison guards. thats their job so thats what they do. no one asked them to become prison guards, they chose to. if they cant maintain a level of professionalism then they need a new line of work...
so thats what youre concerned with... the fact that these prisoners are the states responsibility and because of that they get dental care and health care and you dont?? do you think society owes you dental insurance? society has taken away these mens freedom, it is societys responsibility to look after them til they drop dead... if that includes dental care then so be it.

the little old lady down the street should get health and dental insurance. im with you on that. ALL members of society should be taken care of if need be.. you will get no argument from me there. prisoners need to be taken care of because society had assumed responsibility for them by incarcerating them. your beef isnt with the prisoners chad its with the system.. take it up with your government.hear my name

i know a gentleman whom is generally homeless (haven't saw him in 10 or more years) and would commit pety crimes to get into jail and shipped out to the loonie bin. beings he is a nutcase the mental institutions take care of him rather than jails.
walking through snow and ice is no fun with holes in your shoes, no laces and no socks. sometimes he used wire or tape to hold his shoes together.
i find it heartwarming that this poor innocent mental patient can't be helped anymore than this; let's fix up the death row folks like these two assholes.Post edited by chadwick onfor poetry through the ceiling. ISBN: 1 4241 8840 7

you were right about the dental and eyes. i got medicare mixed up with medicaid and illinois public aid for kids....
medicare covers most things at 80%, which is why most people buy a medicare supplement like aarp or medicare advantage, or medicaid if they meet the requirements, just so the other 20% is covered as well.
but still, prisoners are burdens of the state. the state keeps them in captivity so the state must provide them with the basics...food, water, facilities, etc, and health care is one of the things that they have to provide."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

i do not have television so i do miss a lot of good stuff as far as updates and things go. in this story here i recognize the one bigger guy.

comparing the benefits of the free to the benefits of the locked up doesn't make any sense. do you suggest we just let them fend for themselves, teeth, heart, lungs, eyes, and all while being incarcerated BY THE STATE? "offing" people won't free up any money for health care of the law-obiding.

it would only cost the state 13 cents if you take the legal process out of the equation. if you speak in those terms, society breaks down as a whole, except for maybe eyedclaar, who would live the same as he always has and will. who decides which of the accused gets a trial and which doesn't?
I understand your anger at these sick bastards, I really do. But we both know you are more intelligent than this. You can't just kill people because you think the world would be a better place without them. you take a step back to witch burning (all burned but not guilty, by the way) and public hangings.
do you want to be burned at the stake for something you didn't do without due process? of course you don't. and we both know that's what would happen if the legal system goes back to the way you keep suggesting.Gimli 1993

that is why i admire mr. eyedclaar so much. he is like my own brother or something. and yes, i believe they can and should die at the hands of someone due to what they had done to those innocent people.
this isn't like the WM3 case. these dudes were caught red handed, that is correct is it not? they went forward with utterly heinous acts, unspeakable acts. again, i am surprised they are still breathing. this is why more homes need guns in them.
i believe if i could i would off these two dickheads and i wouldn't give two shits about it. i know i would feel i done the right thing by offing a couple monsters. that's just the way it is. that's just the way i was raised.
and yes, i am more intelligent than this. whatever this you mean by. and thank you.
off topic a bit... a 13 year old girl is given to a motorcycle gang by her father to pay a debt or whatever the case is. the 13 year old girl is picked up 1 week later by the father. this girl is now a grown women and has huge psychological problems. the dad is still and always has been a scumbag.
A. do ya shoot 'eem fulla holes and feel better about things?
B. ballbat the fucker and feel better about things?
C. do nothing because ya don't even know the prick or his daughter?

The state of public education is in a serious state of decline. Health care is not what it should be. Yet, the legal system and penal system thrives. Losers like these draw from the big pool of public funding that could be spent proactively (early childhood education and youth programs). Lawyers and judges are ultimately the mechanisms for change... but why would they when the world is set up so well for them to thrive?
If prisons were gulags and prisoners had to eke out their existence without cable tv and steak and lobster... I might be inclined to agree with the anti-capital punishment stance; however, reality being what it is... I say off with their heads."My brain's a good brain!"0 -

It should be interesting, I want to go to sentencing on Monday. This man will certainly get the death penalty, seeing the Hayes was already handed down the DP sentence and Komasarjeski has been painted to be more aggressive in pursuing this home invasion in the first place. There will undoubtably be a number of appeals.0

I've never seen any stats on this, but does anyone who commits a crime that could result in death penalty EVER weigh the pros and cons as to whether or not the method scares them?
This Drake fella likes blood I guess.
which is exactly why the death penalty is not a deterrent.
Point is, whether it's a deterrant isn't much of an argument. It presumes the point of view of the opposing side of the debate and goes from there.
As others have said, this isn't a Troy Davis or WM3, gray-area, who-really-dunnit case. The defense's only argument is yeah we did it but the victims tried to escape, so we had to and it's their fault. :?:

Komisarjevsky's aunt told a jury Monday he doesn't deserve the death penalty because he's been rejected since birth and has a daughter he loves.
Karlie Lebatique testified Monday that her nephew should get a life sentence.
"Because Josh ever since he was in the womb has been rejected, attacked, abused, doubted, every step of the way by people that were supposed to love him the most and take care of him the most," she said in response to a question about why Komisarjevsky should not be sentenced to death.
Lebatique said her nephew has "done some awful things" but needs a second chance. "And he has a daughter that he loves," she said.
