I know I don't post much here, but him and his partner in the heinous crime deserve to die. Also, what the fuck was the defense thinking when they blamed victims?

It saves the state money. That's about it.

Executions are much more costly. If anything, it creates jobs because it takes an eternity of appeals and incarceration to execute someone. It is very costly.
Not that I advocate such treatment .... but that is what this fucker really deserves. In the end, he will get three squares a day, probably have access to entertainment in a climate controlled cell, and get a lethal cocktail in about ten years while protesters light candles outside and grieve for him.
Results in lots of abortions I know that!!!
Yep, I went there.
b) Does the government pay for abortion?
c) Does the government force someone to have an abortion?
Didn't think so.
b) The government funds Planned Parenthood, so yes.
c) I don't believe so.

"Rep. Brad Drake filed a bill this week that would end the use of lethal injection in Florida executions. Instead those with a death sentence could choose between electrocution or a firing squad, under the proposal."

Exactly what I was thinking to the both of you.
I've never seen any stats on this, but does anyone who commits a crime that could result in death penalty EVER weigh the pros and cons as to whether or not the method scares them?
This Drake fella likes blood I guess.

I don't think we as a society should kill him.
Do pro-choice folks really say that a child has no rights until birth? I haven't met very many pro-choicers who have put forward this position. In fact, most pro-choicers I've encountered seem very accepting of current abortion laws.
Certainly the law doesn't support the idea that a child has no rights until birth. Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania v. Casey pretty much sets out 22-23 weeks as the term where a fetus is not considered alive. Sure, there are always some nut jobs that want to rationalize terminating an unborn child up until conception but that standard has never been accepted by the courts.

In some cases the death penalty is fine with me and this one is an example.
Just curious how often does Connecticut use capital punishment anyways?
