I think both the "human at conception" and "human when eyes first see daylight" are both absurd and ridiculous stands to take.
b) The government funds Planned Parenthood, so yes.
c) I don't believe so.
Do pro-choice folks really say that a child has no rights until birth? I haven't met very many pro-choicers who have put forward this position. In fact, most pro-choicers I've encountered seem very accepting of current abortion laws.
Certainly the law doesn't support the idea that a child has no rights until birth. Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania v. Casey pretty much sets out 22-23 weeks as the term where a fetus is not considered alive. Sure, there are always some nut jobs that want to rationalize terminating an unborn child up until conception but that standard has never been accepted by the courts.0 -
How many more threads do we need retreading the same old discussion that's been had a thousand times? It would be much more constructive to add to the existing discussions, to find where these topics have been discussed before, read what people have said about them before, and then make an informed contribution to the discussion. This constant rehashing of topics without referring to what has been dicussed before about them is pointless and gets no one anywhere.

I really could don't give a rats ass what happens to these POS...they were caught leaving the scene...they commited unthinkable crimes...with these type of individuals I'm fine with what ever the state decides.
In some cases the death penalty is fine with me and this one is an example.
Just curious how often does Connecticut use capital punishment anyways?I have certain rules I live by ... My First Rule ... I don't believe anything the government tells me ... George Carlin

if they did this to my family id be inconsolable and yes id want revenge, id want those people responsible to boil in oil.. but that is emotion. and part of the grieving process. as the days passed my reason would return and i would want those responsible to rot in jail for the rest of their lives. knowing their freedom had been taken from them and knowing as a society we had not lowered ourselves to their level would be enough for me. that is justice and that is the mark of a just society.hear my name

jail is not prison by the way. in Aussieland is it jail or prison? jail here is 365 (or is it 364 days) or less. prison is over 1 year's time.
here in the u.s. no one rots in jail...generally speaking :evil:for poetry through the ceiling. ISBN: 1 4241 8840 7

I've never seen any stats on this, but does anyone who commits a crime that could result in death penalty EVER weigh the pros and cons as to whether or not the method scares them?

there is a system in place, so whosever job it is to look after them is who cares for them.
who gets to see them? whoever the system says can.
im a firm believer in life meaning life. harsher penalties for heinous crimes and no deals for admitting guilt. if you take a life, we take your freedom.hear my name

people are committing crimes in the US for no other reason than to get medical and dental insurance. this is nothing new. that should tell you that america is broken. america is dysfunctional when people will commit petty crimes to sleep in a warm cell and get a root canal."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

there you go then.. prison guards. thats their job so thats what they do. no one asked them to become prison guards, they chose to. if they cant maintain a level of professionalism then they need a new line of work...
so thats what youre concerned with... the fact that these prisoners are the states responsibility and because of that they get dental care and health care and you dont?? do you think society owes you dental insurance? society has taken away these mens freedom, it is societys responsibility to look after them til they drop dead... if that includes dental care then so be it.hear my name
