Bless You Boys...lets go tigers...this set up nicely for the tigers Verlander game 1...will it be Porcello game 2?

If that's the rotation starting it sets up nicely if Verlander wins game 1 and you at least get the split...then we go with Fister game 3, Sherzer game 4 and maybe Verlander game 5...

OK tiger fans thoughts...

one final thought...even though I'm only a tiger fan living across from Detroit...it is a heck of a good time to be a fan of Detroit sports...Lions undefeated...the Wings season open's tonight (they are always in contention)...good for Detroit...no city anywhere deserves more!!!

I'm not so much into baseball, but I watched the game yesterday just because I wanted to see the Yankees lose. ;) Great game! I'll be rooting for the Tigers to go all the way, Detroit needs it!

Come on neily...you're not gonna give us any props huh?
I think it will be Sherzer game 3. I love that Leyland didn't pitch Verlander last night. He stuck to the game plan and let his team play baseball. Great job Jimmy! Keep it up boys!

Texas is much more well rounded. Only true advantage the Tiggers have is Verlander.
    Rangers in 6.

He's just bitter that the Spankees are 1 and done.
Don't think for 1 second that he wouldn't be rooting for the Tigers if it were Texas that beat NY.

Leyland is a great manager, always has been. His players love him.
Don't know if the same can be said for Girardi.

Yes we enjoy Fister, and he's under contract for 3 more years and he's PJ fan. I think he is a big reason why we have a good shot against Texas.

You sure? Since the beginning of July Benoit has been the best or second best set up man, Valverde has been the best closer, Cabrera is the batting champ...then we get to the AL CY Young winner Verlander and Fister who was 8-1 after we acquired him from Seattle.

Not to mention the Tigers were I believe 6-3 against Texas this year. Im not buying all of the Rangers hype but I guess we will find out soon enough.

Yes we were...I guess that's why we play the game...with the exception of the 2 loss's against the yanks their pitching was solid and the yanks have a solid lineup top to bottom. I thought the pitching was excellent yesterday, they battled, I like this team, as San Francisco show last year anyone can win this thing...why not Detroit?

No doubt Texas is a good team too. Or else they wouldn't be here right? I don't underestimate them at all. Alexi Ogando beat us all three of those games that Texas won...Right now I think he's coming out of the bullpen. We shall see what ends up happening. That said, I think we are a pretty damn well rounded team! I like our chances. Go Tigers!

i'm not rooting nor giving props to any team...just think texas will not waste their chances against all pitchers not named verlander (like we did)

most wold say 2 in this situation, but i think texas handles anyone else ,so he might need 3 wins

i will not watch most of the series because i could care less in all honesty

may the better team win ....rangers in 6

fister is decent but the yanks hit him in the first game and just needed a big hit to change the game last night

    i don't know..whatever

    enjoy all goodluck

i don't care who wins but it would be nice to take down phils in the ws
