#001/2000?

The shrink-wrap just "happens" to be opened where the number is. Authentic? Or possible forged number?

    All the sealed Benaroya Hall vinyls were sealed before they were numbered. The 10C slit that corner to hand number them so I am assuming this one is legit.

    There have been a lot of Benny's goin' lately. I know times are tough, but doesn't that make it just as likely that they end up selling them at lower prices than they would otherwise?

    just to clarify, i didnt suggest that the actual vinyl was a "fake," just how it was numbered...

    it is crazy that its #001 of 2000....not impossible.

    if i was looking to drop some serious cash on a benny this would be the one i went after....

    i was searching for a dusseldorf print and when i found #8/200 i splurged and bought it...low numbers are nice.

    All right. I see your point. My Benny Hall vinyl is #0770/2000. What does the PMM mean before the 001/2000, Wouldn't it be 0001/2000?? Unless the first few were donated to charity. That's all I can guess. Any opinions?

    although i thought they saved the low numbered ones???

    yea, I have no clue what the PMM is - that's not on mine.

    I heard the same about the low #ed ones. Maybe someone at the 10C can clarify this? I'm sure that they have quite a few stashed away in the archives.

    My brother has one of the Dave Matthews Martin guitars, and he told me that the first ten or fifteen are owned by Dave and other close associates of the band. I can only assume Eddie and Pearl Jam would do the same thing, especially for something bound to become a collector's item.

    Still, owning #1 would be sweet. Actually, owning one at all would be! I live fairly close to Benaroya Hall; it's like it's taunting me when I drive by.

    Don't know if it means anything... but the seller is from Tacoma. So maybe they are hooked up with the band or work for the Ten Club. It would be ironic if this is someone from the Ten Club flipping a limited edition item.

    It's too bad you brought everyone's attention to this-- the seller misspelled Benaroya in the title. Now you've got more competition on something that could've gone for a lot less than it would

    I remember there was an auction or something with 10 additional low numbered Beny's about a year or so after the release. a little fuzzy on the details, does anyone remember anything like this?

    I have no idea what PMM means but it is not the same as 01/2000. I have seen promo copies that start with "P". I remember P040/2000 being sold at one point. So it is probably something similar. If you are interested shoot a question the sellers way, I would be interested in the response. While you are at it ask him about that rough looking bottom left hand corner. It may just be the plastic but it looks soft.

    Well considering there's only one bid and I'm sure most PJ vinyl collectors already have a search in their bookmarks, I don't see the problem.

    I thought the first bunch were donated to the tsunami relief fund. There was a thread awhile back where it listed who had which numbers and I could swear that they were listed as having the first couple.

    According to this post, it was 141-150 that were donated. Not saying that it isn't possible that someone has No. 1, or PMM 1 (whatever that means: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PMM.)

    Wasn't removed, auction has been over for a few weeks. It was a promo, given to Mike. The guy bought it at a charity. I emailed ten club and they said it was likely a promo.

    listings are available for view for 90 days after they end. But that may be true about it being a promo (which makes sense judging by the numbering).

    Yeah, the PMM stood for Promo Mike McCready. And the auction did end, it ended at like $741. A total steal if you ask me, considering you got Mike McCready's Vinyl Benny
