In professional soccer if you have a throw in and the ball never lands in bounds, say the wind blows it out or it's just a bad throw, does the team that threw it get another try?

no it counts as a foul throw, so then the other team get a throw in.

    Greetings all,
I get shit here in the States for supporting United. Mostly from followers of smaller clubs calling me glory boy or from bitter Chelsea fans still stinging from John Terry's miss in the 08' CL final. Burn!
Am I wrong for choosing United?

I chose United a long time ago because of their players and the rich history. I think Rooney is top class, but when it was rumored he might leave last summer, I wasn't gonna switch teams. I'm United through and through forever, so how do I defend myself to the loads of bitter betty's out there?

you do just like the rest of us. i've been a fan since way before fergie was their manager. and i still sometimes get called glory hunter... at the end of the day, its just bitter fans jealous of uniteds success in the last 20 years or so. i just put it down to that and ignore it all. and as long as i know my reason for supporting the rest can go F*** themselves.

You can like whatever team you want, but to support a sports team i think you need to actually need to go to games and pay your dues, i am a season ticket holder and have been since long before Abramovich was around. I dont begrudge you who you like. When i started liking football George Best and the likes were around and i thought and still do think that he and various other players from a lot of clubs were great to watch. Lionel Messi...... say no more FANTASTIC. I was brought up to like/ support my local team. Love the banter :D

well good for you, and i mean that in a good way.
I live in the north east of scotland, and for about 3 seasons in the early 2000. i used to go to old trafford on a supporters bus from buckie, which had to leave about 3-4 in the morning if it was a 3-4pm kick off. but the bus doesn't run now, and also now i'm married with a family, and money is tight, or i'd still be trying to find a way down, as i know people from up here who still go.
I was at the game when diego forlan scored against chelsea in the dying minutes to win 2-1, was at the game when van nistleroy hit the bar from a penulty against arsenal then got attacked my kweon, was at the game when ronaldo scored his first man utd goal, unfortunatly was at the game when arsenal won 1-0 to win the league, amongst many more memorable games.

yeah, that was a bit disappointing

City went out too, so that will be quite a battle for first place in the PL now that each team can focus on that

Oh how i cheered the antonio valencia goal tonight, not because it was a good, goal, and it was a good goal, but because of the relief... it looked like it was turning into one of those frustrating 0-0 draws, which wouldn'tve been the worst result. but utd as always NEVER give up, and thats the mentallity that has won them so much in the past.... the ball is well and truely in utd's court now... come on city what are you made of now?
