escaped with a draw today against Liverpool. Maybe if they would have started with Rooney, Nani and Hernandez instead of bringing them on later they could have won it. And very surprised Giggs moved out of the way of that direct kick, not like him at all to do that.

Now in second place to City.

Yep, I was surprised at Giggs' move as well, maybe he thought the goalie had it covered, but it was still a bad move. Oh well, still a long season ahead, and I'm sure we'll catch the Citizens eventually.

I've been a massive fan too, since 1985.

that was some defeat today. but in some ways it less embarrasing to lose to city, than it would be to lose 1-0 to somebody like nowrich or qpr (no offence to your teams). just harder to accept. if you know what i mean :(

the one good thing to think of after this defeat, is at least we can sort of say utd have built a team, whereas city have baught a team, where will they be in a few years when the big time players get greedy

So true, I'd rather support a club that at least tries to incorporate their own young players into the team rather than buying several multi-million stars.

And to be fair, that game could have just as well ended 1-3 instead of 1-6, and there would be much less of that crazy crisis talk right now. Those 3 final goals were really only due to desperate attempts to create a miracle comeback (at which the team has often succeeded in the past, mind you), and the logical counter attacks that ensued. Sure, they could have called it a day after the fourth and just kept defending that score, but it wouldn't have made a difference - zero points are zero points. At least they tried, I guess. :roll:

Time to bounce back with a win in the Carling Cup tonight!
