Anyone else come to the realization that concert life is insanely expensive? A show here and there is not so bad...but with my addiction levels, UGH...

    Zac Brown, Nashville
    The Record Company, Toronto
    Dave Matthews, Grand Rapids
City and Colour, Toronto (x4, but want to sell those off) <--drunk purchase
    Glorious Sons, Toronto '22
    Manchester Orchestra, Toronto '22
    Pearl Jam x4 (3 Canada, 1 London)

and 3-4 others on my "trying to win off the radio before I inevitably buy.."

Keeping an eye on announcements on AIC and Mudhoney shows. The Mudhoney site says to stand by for news and the last time I checked the AIC site there was no news.

Just got tickets to Lorde in Lower Hutt of all places. Is probably the perfect time to do a tour of smaller places in NZ. Given the uncertainty around international acts domestic ones will be the order of the day here for the near future. Gutted I missed Crowded House and Fat Freddy's Drop. Reckon the GNR crew should all sail on the boat here to take care of the 14 day quarantine 😉

Just got home from the Illiterate Light show. OMG they rocked. They played some new stuff that sounded a little heavier that went over very well with the crowd in the small theater. I highly recommend checking them out live if you have a chance
Lots of energy and big sound. Side note- I have not seen so many people crowd surfing at a show since the 90s.

Also one of the opening bands called Dogwood Tales was really good. They're more along the lines of Americana/Indie Folk/Alt Rock but great band.

    Update:
We decided to skip Lucero because of how bad Delta is around here. (Yes, we've been vaccinated) I would've had no problem if the show was outside, but indoor GA in an old building with poor ventilation didn't seem smart to us.

I just found out that the Isbell show in KC was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Not sure if it's because the covid numbers are nuts in MO/KS, but I have a feeling that may be (at least) part of it.

So, our next scheduled show is Ohana weekend 1.

    Be well, everyone.
