Just got tickets to Lorde in Lower Hutt of all places. Is probably the perfect time to do a tour of smaller places in NZ. Given the uncertainty around international acts domestic ones will be the order of the day here for the near future. Gutted I missed Crowded House and Fat Freddy's Drop. Reckon the GNR crew should all sail on the boat here to take care of the 14 day quarantine 😉

Just got home from the Illiterate Light show. OMG they rocked. They played some new stuff that sounded a little heavier that went over very well with the crowd in the small theater. I highly recommend checking them out live if you have a chance
 Lots of energy and big sound. Side note- I have not seen so many people crowd surfing at a show since the 90s. 






Also one of the opening bands called Dogwood Tales was really good. They're more along the lines of Americana/Indie Folk/Alt Rock but great band.

Update:
We decided to skip Lucero because of how bad Delta is around here. (Yes, we've been vaccinated) I would've had no problem if the show was outside, but indoor GA in an old building with poor ventilation didn't seem smart to us. 

I just found out that the Isbell show in KC was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Not sure if it's because the covid numbers are nuts in MO/KS, but I have a feeling that may be (at least) part of it.

So, our next scheduled show is Ohana weekend 1.
