I contacted Yellow cab to inquire about cab from MSP to Doubletree Hotel in St Paul.  They advised that Uber/Lyft are the dominant services, as opposed to taxis.......anyone have any input?

    Thanks

What is PJ premium? Tickets are 292 + fees. I’m assuming the band doesn’t dictate

The Event Organizer has priced these tickets according to their market value. Tickets do not include VIP packages. Availability and pricing are subject to change”

Looking at tix since what I scored are pretty awful. I didn’t know club members were getting section 105 and 115 and last rows of ga reserved floor. Too risky to sell everything and try TM resale? Do they still release GA tix day of the show or is that a thing of the past?

Fan to Fan has GA drops occasionally. That is someone selling their tickets not TM selling them.

Premium is just Pearl Jam's fancy way of saying Platinum which the band absolutely dictates.  No different than other bands selling tickets at scalped prices on their own except it is supposed to be only 10% of the venue. I am unsure who keeps tabs on that if anyone. Also if you factor in the back of the stage not being included in Premium tickets that 10% really is higher. The way they justify it is by saying they have gotten more 10C tickets than ever before albeit in the nosebleeds.

There are plenty of seats for MSP not selling. If you have something lower bowl but at the back it has a real chance of staying there if you upgrade. If it was me I would upgrade for a ticket I know would resell and if my original did not sell I would have to make a choice to list the good ticket or eat the further back one.

Thanks for the info. That’s unfortunate about the premium tix when they could be additional 10c tix. I know being a member for 13 years in here is not saying much but I didn’t expect the back of the GA reserved. I’m guessing the band has to do that to make up losses elsewhere with TM

Coming in from Atlanta and staying by the venue.  Are there any cool/funky neighborhoods to check out that are walkable with bars to bounce in and out of?  I don't mind taking an Uber somewhere that might have some record stores, funky stores, bars, etc.  Anything like that around?
Yep, stuff like that can be found in a neighboring area that the locals refer to as: 'Minneapolis'
Anywhere in particular in Minneapolis that you would suggest?  I have no problem taking a trip over there, but I'm just not familiar with area, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

I’ve been waiting for a noon twins game so Wednesday may just be perfect.

Some great breweries, bars and eateries in the north loop area. A manageable walk from Target field but if it’s a hot day just get a Lyft.

For the day off in between shows my wife and I were interested in doing some walking around St Paul and Minneapolis parks to see the river and some views. Any suggestions on the best places to go to?

Como Park. But that may be crazy given its proximity to the State Fair.
Hidden Falls or Minnehaha Falls are great.
The Grand Rounds in Minneapolis is also probably a crown jewel for what you are looking for. Walk around some lakes and maybe dip into a bar or restaurant.

    Have fun!

PS - You could always take a slight drive north (20 minutes) to White Bear Lake and enjoy that community. Go Bears.

Stillwater is wonderful and has the five mile old bridge new bridge trail. I believe you can rent bikes.

Ground round walking or biking is great. Near downtown in Saint Paul it’s accessed via Shepard Rd along the River. Rent a Lime bike and ride or walk. If you want to start at a more scenic point maybe the Ford Parkway area on the Hidden Falls drive part of the trail.

The Stone Arch Bridge walk and area in Minneapolis is nice and plenty of eateries on either side of the bridge and nice views. Highly recommend going into the Guthrie and taking in the view from their observation deck. It should still be free.

Not by the River but the Walker sculpture garden is free, the Minneapolis Institute of Art is free and has some nice shady courtyard area. “Eat Street” on Nicollet is near the MIA with plenty of places to grab a bite.

Como Zoo (in Como Park) is quite nice, and free!

Make sure to check out their arboretum!

Great idea. The Herman Electric Bike Rental place is in the same building as the Green Bridge Coffee shop which is solid. Stillwater has some great restaurants and bars and a good place to sit along the river.

Anyone driving or using ride shares be advised downtown Saint Paul construction is a bit messy and can greatly affect routes.

YieldInHiding, how was the show last night?

Okay I searched and saw this comment. I think this is from the Philly shows. Both were great, but 10-22 was a top 10 show for me.

Glad you enjoyed it! I love Target Field...such a great experience each time. Was hoping PJ would play there sometime. Guess we'll have to wait a bit longer for that.

Has any seen anything about ga getting in early in St. Paul? Only see doors at 6pm. Last tour show I went to in St. Louis ga got entry 30 minutes before seating so 5:30. Just wondering.
  • I’m also wondering the same about doors for GA.
