    Good luck on your tickets!

Hoping PJ can play 25 songs on both nights and are well rehearsed.

Read something interesting: typical for restaurants in and around Minneapolis and St Paul to add a 20% service charge to the bill (regardless of party size) prior to adding tip?
To quote the 10C from Newsletter #8: "Please understand we have a lot of members and it is very hard to please everybody. If you are one of those unhappy people...please call 1-900-IDN-TCAR."

I’ve never seen/heard/experienced that and I live in the Twin Cities. Some places add an up charge instead of tipping, but super rare.

Be interested to see where you found that info.

I usually tip 20% but hate when I tip again after not noticing that tip has already been included!

This is for spoon and stable which is pretty much considered best spot in the Twin cities (I have dinner res between shows) they moved to a "no tipping model"... .more info if want https://www.startribune.com/minnesota-restaurant-pros-offer-tips-for-navigating-the-new-world-of-tipping/600192684/

Spoon and Stable offers explicit language on its bill: "Should I leave a tip? There is no expectation to leave a tip in addition to the Hospitality Charge. The tip line is provided as an option to express appreciation for an outstanding experience."

Where ya staying? State Fair is something to behold if you're up for another crowd filled day. Saints baseball game is on Friday I hear. Thats a fun time, and affordable. Plenty of breweries and restaurants to check out. Some folks are hiking it over to Chanhassen to see Prince's Paisley Park. Ummmm.. Stillwater is a lovely town to check out if you want to get out of the cities.

Bad Weather is a few blocks down from the Xcel Center and one of my favorite. Waldmann is right next to Bad Weather, more of a traditional German place with some food as well. Farther away some of my other common stops are Dual Citizen, Insight, St Paul Brewing and the ever-polarizing Surly. Surly is quite the place to visit regardless if you like their beer or politics. There's also Yoerg which is a smaller place that brews a few beers but also carries the largest selection of imports and monastery beers that I've ever seen. We've been frequenting that place.

There are parks right off the main drag (Which 35/61 turn into) in Duluth. Those are great and well marked.

But if you are really wanting to hit the north shore, you should just drive all the way to Gooseberry Falls. which is about 30/40 minutes past Duluth. Its a free state park and I think everyone reading this would concur its gorgeous and awesome.

    Good luck!

Hi all, I haven’t read the whole thread so apologies if this is already covered but looking for the top 2-3 things to see while in the twin cities for the shows.  Thanks for any and all ideas.
Thanks for these ideas.  Any recommendations for a good spot to see Lake Superior? I’m aware it’s at least a 2-3 hour drive.

    Good luck!
Sounds amazing, will look it up.  Thx

Hey everyone looking for something to do on Friday Sept. 1st in between the shows! My band Wayside is playing a Pearl Jam tribute show near the venue in St. Paul with another band 120 minutes (a 90s tribute band named after the MTV show!) at the Amsterdam Bar. It's is a fundraiser for The Wishlist Foundation and the same venue as their other fundraisers that weekend.

We are a Twin Cities (although live all over now) band that played locally and even on Van's Warped tour back in the day, and patterned alot of how we sound/approach music after PJ. We went on hiatus and are reforming with new music but are playing a PJ cover set as a love letter to the boys with a bunch of deep cuts.

120 Minutes will follow providing continued entertainment and incredible music from your favorite MTV alternative rock show (Matt Pinfield not included) https://www.amsterdambarandhall.com/events/amsterdam-presents-120-minutes-wayside/

    Hope to see you there!

Brewery recommendation. If you like IPAs, I would put Blackstack on your list
