Did you happen to see MMJ there last year? (At the Walker Art Center that is)...

I didn't catch Rock The Garden last year. I remember it being really cold and windy that day, right? Were you there?

I actually missed it as well - was at the Twins game with some friends that had no interest in MMJ, but man I was bummed I missed it.

Well I shouldn't tell you then that I heard it was awesome. ;)

Are you in MN? Most of us here are from the MN area. We may be planning a get-together soon, somewhere in the TC. Interested?

River's Edge - probably not (although tickets are a pretty good deal $99 for two days!)

Sound Town - I also thought this looked like a great lineup! I'm pretty sure I'm too old for such things, however

Rock the Garden - Yes! I've decided I'm going, even though I don't know who's playing yet. I'm sure there will be someone there to like :D

Anyone going to see Neil Diamond at the Xcel?:lol::lol:

Now we just need a Pearl Jam Concert and all will be well :P

Is anyone seeing Mark Lanegan at the Cedar Cultural Center on May 18th? Living legend and his new album is fantastic. He often does signings at his shows also. :-)

I picked up Blues Funeral on vinyl at the Electric Fetus on Saturday in hopes he would sign it at the show in May. :-)

I'll be there! I missed them the last time they were here. So, I wasn't going to miss Social D this time. I just wish I knew they added a Friday night show before it sold out. I would've like to go both nights! I am super excited for the show too.

The fact that PJ is playing some shows in August is encouraging that there may be a few more shows in the mix.

Target told me they want PJ to play a legit concert in MN!

Hey Minnesotans! Did I hear someone mention a get-together soon?? Let me just throw this out there...

May 4th - Retribution Gospel Choir at the Triple Rock.

For those unfamiliar with the band, it's loud psych-rock, with Alan Sparhawk from Low. Awesome live show, for those who aren't familiar its a small investment of $12, and a great place to grab some brews. Just an idea! Let the summer of concerts in the cities begin! :D

Is this a fact? I haven't heard anything about August shows. Delunafest and the Atlanta stuff is all in August; even Alpine (which is just a rumor anyway) is in September.

    Where did you hear this?

    How was everyone's RSD haul?

I scored: Brad, Blitzen Trapper, Po and the 4fathers (Boom!), the Mynabirds (number 198 out of 1000) and MC5.

I was 53rd in line for Electric Fetus in Minneapolis, getting there at 6:20am (wow...). They had 6 EV singles. Of course they were gone when I got there. :( My calling around to participating RSD stores discovered that the state of MN apparently received 14 copies total for the EV single. 14! :o

MAN!!! I want that too. Just because I was there... Wow! 14...

Agreed. I was shocked when I heard that...not sure how accurate it is, but if its anywhere close, that's dumbfounding that MN would get 14 only...

The record store day release was recorded at the July 2nd Minneapolis show this past summer. I know MN is on PJ's mind...

I got skunked on the EV here in Duluth.....The Electric Fetus here only received 1 copy which went right away of course, and The Vinyl Cave in Superior didn't get any. I can't believe there weren't more copies allocated for MN.

    Please play MN Pearl Jam!

As I anxiously await the next concert announcement, thought I'd make a friendly reminder to keep MN on the tour radar.

Where'd you go Andy? I was 53rd in line at the Fetus (getting there at 6:20am) and that wasn't good enough to get EV. I would've bought more, but when I didn't get EV, I avoided the "buy-other-things-to-make-me-feel-better" urge.
