Twelve year anniversary of the East Troy show. Were any Minnesota/Midwest jammers at that show? Any memories?

I was there, amazing show. Highlights:

    - Eddie and Jeff could be seen laying on the side of the stage during Buzzcocks, taking photos and as excited as lil kids (they mentioned later being huge fans and how it was an honor to play with them).

    - Gorgeous summer day, with Eddie telling the story of the last time they played Alpine (The Ice Bowl), and how there was this constant steam coming from the crowd. "There's still just as much smoke today, but I think it's from something else..."

    - Storytime Eddie: many anecdotes about Ed growing up, learning the Beatles and how to swear from his uncle, a political rant - Ed was VERY vocal at this show.

    - Covers galore! 6 total covers I believe.

    - Bushleaguer.

Saturday night around 7....I looked for you, but obviously you weren't there. I'll be back, however, as now I have 2 growlers needed to be refilled. My in laws live in Hugo, so it is pretty convenient for me to get to....great stuff too!

Anyone checking out My Morning Jacket tomorrow at the Northrop? It will be my first MMJ show. I really dig what they do. Can't wait. Should've gone to Buddy Guy tomorrow and MMJ Saturday but it didn't work out. Excited nonetheless.

BTW was anyone at the Northrop when Neil played there? Man I couldn't believe how the balcony and rafters were rumbling when he let his guitar feedback and walked off stage after 'Walk with Me'.

I'll be at the Saturday night MMJ show. I haven't been to the Northrop since the nineties, so I'm looking forward to seeing the new renovations. The last show I saw there was Oasis (1998). The fire alarm went off in the middle of the show.

i'll be at mmj on saturday, too. my friend sarah and i are meeting at glueks, i think, at 6, if you feel like joining us. i'm trying to see if i can get tix for tonight's show, so i may go to that as well, but we'll see. i loved their bonnaroo set.

i've been to northrop twice now since the remodel, and it is light years better (with the exception of no alcohol IN the theater - you have to drink in the hall areas only). saw ray lamontagne up close and ryan adams at the very back and the sound was excellent in both cases.

anyone go to the smashing pumpkins show at the pantages last night? it was a special show, i felt.

Ditto. Sounds like a big, huge crazy mess, and while NYC would be cool...just sounds like a ton of hassle for a short set (if past year's history remains true).

Good luck to those trying for tickets!

Yea, if I'm going to see PJ, it better be a 25 song set for the trip to be worth the time, effort and money. I'm not that crazy about the other acts either.

for those who go, I hope they have a safe and fun time.

I want to go back to NYC.. but on the trip list for Z, NYC is at the bottom *unless* PJ or some other big draw is there and then it makes for a great opportunity to see NYC and scratch it off the list. So, I'll take it! If Z is excited to hit NYC, then I'm in! Plus, to see a big show in Central Park would be pretty epic, and on top of that.. I wouldn't mind seeing Beyonce do the "single ladies" dance ;)
