    so, today marks the 10th anniversary since Friends' aired the season finale. Here's a fun fact:

    Friends took a cue from Pearl Jam. If you’ve ever been to a Pearl Jam concert, chances are the last song of the night was “Yellow Ledbetter,” this isn’t always the case, but more often than not, it’s the band’s closing number. Which could be why showrunners , David Crane and Marta Kauffman, chose to use it in the finale’s second half when Rachel goes through the gate at the airport. This was also the first time the band had licensed out a song for a television show.

    Agree to all - The Roy isn't the best, but seeing one of the best touring live bands right now, supporting one of the best albums of last year - can't miss! Super pumped. Just hope I'll be able to get around down there with the rowdy Wild fans!

    So, I get it. I've been there. But to my memory, I don't recall Roy Wilkins being terrible. I'd rather be there over any of the Theatres

    Seen QOTSA a few times, wish I could be there. Been to Roy once for Ziggy Marley & Ben Harper. Pretty memorable show, but I don't think it had anything to do with the venue.

    True story, last time I saw QOTSA was in Detroit. After the show, I was taking a leak in the alley behind a dumpster. Crass I know, but we've all been there. Apparently I was too close to some guy's Toyota Scion xB. God I hate those cars. His level-headed response was to pull a knife from his car, chase me out of the parking lot, slash my tires and kick out my tail lights as I drove off. The rental car company was not happy. Thank goodness for insurance! And fuck Detroit.

    Anyhow - have fun and don't piss in the alley!

    if you're in the middle on the floor at the roy, you're fine. anywhere else though it can be a pain to sift through the noise to simply hear the music.

    i wouldn't ever NOT go to a show at the roy BECAUSE its at the roy, though.

    And yeah, this picture is of my buddy James after he puked on himself. We threw out his clothes and gave him a shitty blanket and a paper hockey helmet (aka a slow-kids helmet).

    My beard is getting pretty thick to thanks to the Wild reaching the second round!!! FEAR THE BEARD!!!

    Queens of the Stone Age played a show in MN tonight..their first concert here in seven years. Dang, what a long time between visits.

    QOTSA show was fun. It got out right about the same time as the Wild game got over, so there were pumped up concert and hockey fans celebrating all at once. Now we need a PJ show to celebrate after!!

    It'd be a fun trip. I can assure that if you came up for a show, the MN kids would show you a good time. Lots of bars, music, green space, sports etc.
