Say what you want about the game, the season was a success. 3-13 to 10-6. Lots of a good young players to build around (that may or may not include Christian Ponder).

i'm disappointed they didn't do more of what worked on the first drive- let joe webb run. the packers were forced to guess and it baffles me why for the rest of the game joe webb was made to run ponder's offense. ponder /= webb. we've seen enough of webb in the last 3 years to know he isn't best utilized as a passer so why even try repeated long passes? yes, there needs to be some semblance of a passing game, but this is a run first offense and joe webb is an aditional threat in that area. play calls should have been no less than 80/20 run/pass. especially against a defense that allowed over 200 yards rushing in their previous 2 games. ugh. it was ugly ugly ugly.
that said, i do not hate the packers; in fact i quite enjoy watching them and aaron rodgers. i'll be rooting for them. packers/patriots would be the super bowl i'd want to see.0 -

Well said Mr. Slash. As a die hard Packer fan, I honestly was worried a bit when Webb came out of the gates running. Seemed like such a threat when combined with AP, and I was surprised there wasn't more of that in the 2nd half. Passing? Yeah, not exactly one of Webb's weapons. Like you said, focus on the run first. Anyway, I think the Vikes win last week was a blessing in disguise for the Packers - the bye week killed the Pack last year in the playoffs, and I think beating the Vikes at home in the rubber match was the momentum we needed.
Bring on those 49'ers! Cheers to a good Vikes season and making the playoffs. You guys have plenty of good things to look forward to. That being said, lets all have a beer, some sausage, cheese, and cheer on the Packers on their road to the SuperBowl!!!
