Great film, I loved the fact there was a little bit of humor thrown in... favorite line was probably MIke saying "so....yeah...I blacked out....on television". Priceless!

Cool givaway, Rico. I saw it and thought it was awesome. It was really well put together. CC did a fantastic job. I said to my wife at the end, I hope you weren't too bored. She said she really enjoyed it. Thanks for the chance Rico!!!!

  • Loved the movie...favorite part was probably Brother/Daughter song.
  • Ohhhh I want one!

I wasn't lucky enough to see the movie yet, but hopefully I'll be seeing it this weekend on On Demand. If not then I'll be waiting for PBS. :?

  • That's great! We didn't get programs at our theater. :(

I loved the movie, wish it would have shown more details about the band in the 2000s, but loved the footage and interviews, and just the attitude of the members of OUR BAND! And agree, hope the bonus features have a lot more footage from Eddie's shag-carpet-mod-room with the firepole!!

One more personal negative, when Stone was saying how he doesn't keep hardly anything because Jeff saves EVERYTHING, and he only had a couple of things and a grammy in the basement... my wife leans over and says "You should really idolize Stone more." :)

Aw, wish they handed those out in NYC. I enjoyed all of it, but what I loved the most was hearing the mutual respect they have for each other and seeing how comfortable they have grown to be with themselves. Loved the little personal touches, like Stone's dog just chilling during the interview, or Mike's baby in the foreground and of course, Ed's pole (yea yea, I know sounds dirty).

Thanks for offering it up!
  • Cheers Rico, our cinema had not a thing on display for the movie, no posters, nothing!

Being fairly new to Pearl Jam's music I felt I was able to appreciate them even more watching this movie, all the grafting they've had to do, all the heartache, all the bullshit that came along with it but they still managed to keep it together and they appreciate one another. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to sing but I don't think the other cinema goers would have had something to say about that so I just bopped around in my seat!

There were loads of fave parts, far too many to mention, like Stone's filthy mug, Ed's pole, the montage of Eddie's climbs, leaps and dives, but one in particular was how they spoke of how shy Eddie was, then they were playing this particular show and Eddie was getting pissed off with the security guy and was literally screaming in his face and he was oblivious to it HA!

    Hello everyone!

As most people I went and saw the PJ20 movie last night in Seattle and it was beyond amazing!!! When I was there I was able to snag an extra program that they were giving away. They are the size of a magazine and they feature interviews from each band member..they are really awesome! Now here is your chance to win one! If you saw the movie then reply in a comment how you thought of the movie....if you didn't see the movie then reply if or when you will see the movie. The contest will end on Friday the 23rd and I will draw the names from a hat at random....enjoy!!!

  • Rico, thanks so much for offering the program-I didn't see any at the Philly showing.

I had many favorite moments in the movie, but one that stands out is Ed singing "Crown of Thorns" and then flashing back to Andy Wood singing it. That gave me chills-so glad they included that footage. Another part that stood out was "Alive" from Philly '09. When that started, the entire room erupted, as most likely many people attending the movie premiere were also at those Spectrum concerts! :D

Thanks for the chance! My favorite scene was the Crown of Thorns peformance. I thought it tied up the circle of where the band came from and what it had become. I've always loved that song but I think I love it even more now!

  • I have yet to see this, unfortunately. It was showing 1 night in town here, and the theater was charing $20 bucks to see it. I decided to wait and pick up the blu-ray, not realizing it's only available via the 10C as a deluxe set for far too much money. I will wait and see if they release it as a stand-alone blu ray.

I'd still enjoy a program, though.

    Great Idea man!

I was lucky enough to see the movie in Toronto.....loved the SIngles Release party when they were such a mess. I also loved the personal stories you get from the bandmembers....like Ed talking about telling the girl sidestage to up is volume on his earpiece and nothing happens, so he goes over tears down a barricade only to discover that person is the lighting person....lol.
I was also touched by how emotional they get about the past....Andy's death, or Ed recalling his budding friendship with Jeff.

Can't wait to see it again!

I absolutely loved the movie :)
Never experienced so much goosebumps at one time as during "Release"... I think i could watch it again and again and again and i won't have enough. The "Singles" party footage was phenomenal! "Breath" when Ed went crazy and was screaming/singing at the guard- feckin' cool! And absolutely loved how the movie started... Oh,plenty plenty of favourite moments in the movie... I just need to watch it again soon :)

Also there was two polish accents,a black and white poster with Ed on it,saying "On sale soon" and something else, don't know exactly what was it but it had "Katowice" on it :D i don't know if anybody seen this, probably only polish fans picked it :D

And the last scene,Belfast... i'm somewhere there in the crowd, second row,Stone's side... will have to look for myself when i'll get the dvd :D

I saw the movie in Portland, OR. I thought it was really awesome to get see the early videos before they were celebrities, such getting sarcastic comments from the police outside of a Seattle venue in the late 80's. Thank you for the chance to win a program as they did not have them in Portland.
