  • My Grandmother passed away this year, I was walking up the ramp to my seats at Wrigley 2. Normally I would be upset if Comeback was on the set and crossed out but I think it would have been to one that made me lose it. When I got home I was asked to play Long Road and Amazing Grace on my guitar at her showing. Rough times.

    All this happening I couldn't help be to think of what I would want played. My list;

The Only Cloud in the Sky (PJ Immagine in Cornice version)
    Long Road
    Release
    Low Light
    Other Side
    Can't Keep
    Setting Forth/End of the Road
    Brendan's Death Song (RHCP)
    Cold Confession
    Given to Fly

US Bank, Cincy OH, Oct '14
Rupp Arena, Lexington KY, April '16
Wrigley Field, Chi Ill Aug 20th

I need Hard to Imagine once, live, I'll do things I'm not proud of to make this happen ;)
  • I have thought about this, and I feel like I wouldnt want to limit it to just a song, i'd be more interested in featuring their whole catalog since I identify and relate to so much of it. I would want to have it blasting during any kind of showing that took place, maybe even some sort of headstone with a speaker built in that played Pearl Jam endlessly... solar powered? - - I like the idea of this... but, not sure how i'd accomplish it since I'd prefer to be cremated... I guess I could still have a memorial headstone kind of thing.

  • My funeral is going to be one big Pearl Jam party where all my PJ shit is raffled off to help offset funeral costs. There will be many songs played - rockers & ballads alike.

Forgot to mention it will be held at Wrigley Field and my ashes will be spread on the infield dirt, near second base.

I am 35 years old. If I am lucky enough to live until I am 85 thats another 50 years from now. Are we really going to be playing 70 year old songs at that point in our life? Not trying to offend or knock anyone that is going to just an honest question.

Unless new bands give me reason to be excited about the music industry (doubtful for now) then yes I will be playing them forever

  • My mother passed away back at the beginning of may. Just before Christmas we learned that her cancer was growing rapidly and treatment wasn't helping. The whole album of Binaural helped me ride the wave as such. She wasn't a fan of the group but loved light years and smile. I bent the lyrics of smile and read them out at the wake, and Light years was played.
    As for me

    Save you

Why save you you ask...cause i'm that kinda cunt...haha

Well hopefully i don't die anytime soon as I'm only 16, but if tragedy strikes my dad would know to play Given To Fly at the funeral.

    For me it could be:
    Release
    Immortality
    Gone
    Garden
    Light years
    Long Road
    Little wing
    Present Tense
With Inside Job somewhere in there too since it's so meaningful to me.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me...

I know it's not Pearl Jam, but I was at one a few years ago where they chose "Do you realize" by the Flaming Lips. It was really moving and brought me to tears.
