Funeral Music
I know some people are uncomfortable with this topic, but it's something I think about from time to time. What Pearl Jam song, if any, would you play at your funeral? Off He Goes for me. Just curious.
Slipped on a curb in the road.

I guess Man of the Hour would work for me
Not sure if PJ has ever covered that, but thinking they have
Man of the Hour (for sure)
The End (if the cause of death jibes with the lyrics)
Off He Goes (maybe)
PJ's rendition of Crown of Thorns
Yep. I want that played 100% for sure.

Off He Goes...cause I can be a shitty friend
Man Of the Hour...just freakin perfect.
Nuff said
Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?
And, as an encore, I think Immortality would be a nice ironic send-off too, if only for the title (and the fact it is my favorite Pearl Jam song ever released!)

I don't need this.
I die just to live.
I won't stay long.
I'll be long gone.
I die just to live.
I was being more shallow than that ... but, yes, we can go deep into the lyrics to discuss its relevance at my (or anyone's) funeral.

After hearing Black for more then 20 years, it still gives me tears.
Long Road
Arc (last song of your existance on Earth)
I sang The End at my little sisters funeral almost a year ago. That sucked, someone acutally recorded it and then tried to make me watch it a few days later. I walked out of the room. This is private to me, but it is also real to me, that is why I posted. I always imagined her at my funeral.
Wish You Were Here (non-PJ) The End (non-PJ again this time)
And then would add:Tremor Christ Garden

"I'd rather have my blood sucked out by leeches
Shove an icepick under a toenail or two
I'd rather clean all the bathrooms in Grand Central Station with my tongue
Than spend one more minute with you
Yes, I'd rather jump naked on a huge pile of thumbtacks
Or stick my nostrils together with crazy glue
I'd rather dive into a swimming pool filled with double-edged razor blades
Than spend one more minute with you
I'd rather rip my heart right out of my ribcage with my bare hands
and then throw it on the floor and stomp on it 'till I die...
Than spend one more minute with you"
I'm swimming in a sea of pee
I'm hiking up a big mountain of poo
I feel like rolling in glass when I'm without you
I'm diving in a pool of puke
I'm fly fishing a stream of pus
That's how I feel when something separates us
I'm living in Bakersfield
I'm at a month-long hip-hop festival...
Thanks for getting me thinking about this after you mentioned it the other day...after much deliberation, think it has to be this one..
